La Camera Ducale Relais a is an eco-friendly hotel built in harmony with the surrounding Apulian landscape. All spacious rooms are in limestone and bleached wood, and have a private patio. The friendly staff and the location to start with, then the size of my room... Excellent value for money.
Situated in Gravina in Puglia, B&B Sul Ponte features accommodation with free WiFi and a shared lounge. We had the most lovely stay at b&b sul Ponte. The building is stunning and set in a beautiful location in Gravina. Special thank you to Kamela who couldn’t do enough for us during our stay we will definitely return to this little gem
Offering a sun terrace and views of the city, Al Bastione Relais Suite & Rooms is situated in Gravina in Puglia in the Apulia Region, 23 km from Matera. All rooms are equipped with a flat-screen TV. Good value for money! Friendly and helpful owners, 5 minutes walking distance from the center of Gravina, free parking in front of the hotel, beautiful decorated and renovated rooms, don’t miss the cantina / wine cellar underneath the house. Thanks for the hospitality, we really appreciated and definitely will come back, P&M.
Principe Relais offers accommodation in a restored building from the early 1900s in Gravina in Puglia. Every room at this guest house is air conditioned and comes with flat-screen TV. Staff were amazing; breakfast was amazing and we were recommended an incredible place to eat dinner. The room was beautiful, spacious, clean, newly updated.
B&B Duca Orsini is situated in Gravina in Puglia and features air-conditioned accommodation with free WiFi, as well as access to a terrace. Everything was excellent. The room was very clean, the owner was very kind, and the accommodation is in the old town. Thank you again.
Dating back to the 15th century, Palazzo Sottile Meninni is in the historic centre of Gravina in Puglia. It offers a spa and elegant rooms and suites with free Wi-Fi plus a balcony or terrace. Very cosy place, friendly staff. Very clean, would meet the 5* hotel standards. The hotel is former palace and makes you a feeling of being special guest. Cosy terrace for evening talks. Really loved the place.
In some ways better than Matera. Very interesting small town, with good restaurants. However, the day we were after a meal (Easter Monday), most were fully booked. However, we were able to eat at '13 VoLTE', which, although had a lovely feel and ambience, the food left a lot to be desired. We travelled through the Murgia National park towards Castele Del Monte, which was scenic.
People are very kind and friendly. The food is very good and prices are reasonable. The old city is beautiful although many buildings have not yet been refurbished. The Gravina sotterranea is to be visited!
Many make just a short stop here on their way to Matera, but this village worth at least a day visit: take your time to wander amongst the ruins of ancient caves, churches and underground town, cross the landmark aqueduct-bridge, taste the local cuisine with a wonderful view on the valley. This place is still somehow a hidden gem that has not much to envy from the neighbouring Sassi of Matera.
Be forewarned that if you are traveling by train or bus there is no local bus or taxi service in Gravina. We made the mistake of thinking we could take a bus or train to Matera on Sunday, but there was no service on Sunday so we had to change our plans. Gravina's centro storico is beautiful and I would recommend visiting San Michele delle Grotto, a church carved in the caves in the 8th or 9th century. The aqueduct bridge over the ravine is beautiful and picturesque. Gravina is a nice town off the beaten path and is worth spending a few days while in Puglia.
Loved the old town, the beautiful ravine and walk over the Aqueduct and archaeological site. The old Rupestrian church was amazing and recommend a guided tour. Mama Mia Ristorante was amazing with a great view over the Ravine and limestone caves. A fantastic place and not too crowded.
Gravina is nice to stay when exploring the surroundings! It's a nice, lively and cute city, which is not touristy at all. We did the sotterranea tour through all cellars in gravina, this tour is very good!

The staff is brilliant, even if they speak literally no English... All of them are very keen to help and do work hard to make your stay special. I loved every minute of my stay in this wee hotel and would highly recommend to anyone who brings kids or looking for a small paradise a few miles away from the city. You find massive big rooms, great sports facilities and the Spa!!! Good sized fridge, aircon, brilliant beds and a good sized TV. Well... no English channels, but eh... it is your loss if you cannot miss a few Eastenders`!!!

Gravina in Puglia is a nice town and when you stay in Fontana La Stella you are right in the heart of the old city of Gravina. Marieangela is the perfect hostess with a big heart. The room IL Grotto that we rented is unique and worth the trip. Who would imagine that living in a cave could be so cozy and comfortable. The breakfast that Marieangela and Pina prepared for us was very good and gave us the right start for days of exploring Gravina. We look forward to coming back to Gravina and Fontana La Stella.

Location, very quaint room and small 3 room hotel. We Loved it and the quirky stairs getting to the upper floor. Comfy beds and linens and towels. Beautifully decorated in minimalist style. Rosa was very nice and responsive to questions I had before arriving. She also gave great restaurant advice for Mama Mia's. Good parking advice from Rosa and the parking at the square was easy to find parking and near the hotel.
