Lesa is a good place to stay without the bustle of the busier towns, but it requires transportation to travel along the Lago Maggiore. Stresa can be reached after a short drive. In the small town of Lesa, there are some excellent location restaurants (some on the lake).

What can I say we booked for 1 night and stopped for 4. The hotel is in a great location across from the lake in easy walking distance to the ferry and some beautiful walks. The rooms are lovely and spacious and very clean. The reception staff have been really helpful with advise were to visit and always asking how our day has been. Breakfast is served on the three floor with a terrace overlooking the lake which just starts your day perfectly. Thank you for our amazing holiday we will definitely be back. Thank you

Lesa is one of the smaller towns dotted around the lake.

Lesa is one of the smaller towns dotted around the lake. It has a few restaurants and bars but nothing noisy. If you are thinking of using the boats and ferries to get out and about you will have to go up to Stressa or down to Arona as there is only 1 boat a day that stops at Lesa. Small lakeside promenade that is a pleasant stroll or to stop for a drink . I would recommend hiring a car as public transport is a bit hit and miss. About 20 minute drive to Arona, 10-15 mins to Stressa.

We chose to visit Lesa because it's my name, but we also truly enjoyed our visit! We wandered the narrow streets and found our way to the lake to catch a glimpse, enjoying the architecture and character along the way. We'd like to return some day!

Lesa is a charming little town situated between the two...

Lesa is a charming little town situated between the two larger tourist hubs of Stresa and Arona. It offers a quieter pace of life and nice beaches including the local cold water Lido. Beaches are pebble, so bring your water shows. If you don't have transport, there is an hourly bus service to take you to Stresa or Arona, where there are ferries to take you to other towns and islands on Lake Maggiore. There us a train station but not a frequent service so plan your trips carefully. Lesa has some very good restaurants and cafes on the promenade and also a very good supermarket and pharmacy. I would choose to stay here again, I really liked it.

Pleasant hotel and well located. Friendly staff. Room a little tired and main staircase carpet was grubby. However, our triple room was clean and comfortable for a one night stay on our European road trip. We arrived late in the evening, and all places were closed, but the receptionist recommended we try a nearby restaurant on the small neighbouring caravan site which provided us with a tasty salad and some beers. Simple breakfast on the terrace overlooking the lake. Okay for a one night stay!

Very affordable apartment in quieter part of Lesa hosted by Nino, an absolute gentleman. Close to two very pleasant coffee shops and a 10-15 min walk to the restaurants (fully recomment La Riva!). Decent sized apartment well equipped for two guests. Air conditioning an extra 6 Euros per day but well worth the additional expense. Easy street parking available in the adjacent side streets.
