Thoroughly enjoyed my stay at this charming and pleasant guest house. We had a clean room with a nice view of the area and a private bathroom. I also appreciated having a dining area where you can have a coffee and relax on the small balcony. And I can't say enough good things about Noemi, who was super personable, helpful, and responsive to our questions and concerns, and even arranged a trip to the airport for us. I highly recommend this place if you're coming to Lido di Ostia!

The reviews I read before booking this were a lie.

The reviews I read before booking this were a lie. This property in no way was a 10. The towels were thin and needed to be replaced. No paper towels of dish towels. We ran out of toilet paper only one roll was provided. The sheets need to be replaced very faded, old and thin. The chairs around the table sunk in, not comfortable at all. Our car got broken into 15 mins after arrival. Met owner out front for keys went back to the car. The window had been smashed on car and everything was stolen! Our suitcases and passports. We lost everything but the clothes on our back!!!! Not a safe area!

Ostia is not Portofino, it's a suburb of Rome that just happens to have a beach! The streets are dirty and overgrown with weeds and walking around is not a pleasure. However, if you have to go there the best cornetti can be found at UBK in Piazza della Stazione Vecchia, the best pizza at Romolo's just around the corner and the best spaghetti alle vongole at Tra il Grano e il Mare just off Via Pietro Rosa. Happy holidays!

The seafront is a mixture of private and public beaches.

The seafront is a mixture of private and public beaches. We found that paying to visit the private beaches more comfortable and cleaner than the public beaches plus the private clubs had restaurants and proper toilets. There are a few restaurants away from the main square but we tended to stay in the main square. several bars also located in the square, wide selection of food to please everyone. Area is well luminated and most people said good evening. We never felt threatened. Three train stations available to take you to Rome which is 40 minutes away. a 72 hour ticket for the train can also be used on the underground and public trams and buses within the area of Rome.

    A very Italian seaside resort.

A very Italian seaside resort. Great place to stay outside of Rome, train links into the city are exceptional and so cheap that they are almost free. Beware of pickpockets! Cafes and bars were great and very reasonably priced, nice to be able to relax on the beach and stroll along the front and around the town. Great base from which to visit Ostia Antica and its almost deserted Roman ruins and castle, a far cry from the crowds in central Rome.

I had a layover for two nights, but I will definitely consider to come back for even a longer stay. The hotel was picturesque with a good location close to the beach (in front), main square/street with restaurans (2 min walk) and the train/bus station with connection to Rome (10 min walk). Furnishing and decoration with inspiration from the 60s, but still fresh. It gave the hotel a nice charming feeling. The staff was very helpful and showed a great hospitality. I can definitely recommend to stay here, you will have value for the good price!!

We spent 8 Nights at Lido di Ostia. Every 2 days we went to Rome to visit the most important sites with a 24 hours travel pass. We were amazed by Ostia Antica which was 2 train stations from our location. My friends went every 2 days to the beach in front of the hotel which is partially free of charge and enjoyed it. The weather was sunny and warm, the water was a bit cold. It is a perfect match for travellers who wants to combine bathing with Italian culture.

The hosts were very kind and helpful. They agreed for us to have a late arrival and even waited for a few extra hours, as our flight was delayed. They even provided a nice breakfast and coffee even if was not included in the advert. The apartment itself is nice and spacious, fully equipped, situated close to the beach and restaurants. The Lido Centro trains station is 10 min away and from there you get to the center of Rome in 30 min.

Very comfortable huge apartment with 2 balconies and fully equipped kitchen. Great pizza place next door, beach 5 min walk train to Rome 5 min walk and in Rome Coloseo within 35 min. Christian is an amazing host who made us feel welcome straight away. Christian was also excellent in all aspects of communication before and during our stay. If we ever make it back to Rome, I would definitely stay here again. Thank you Christian.

The apartment is very well located in Ostia. We had a rented car so we could go to very beautiful beach ~10km south of Ostia, but there are also beaches, very good restaurant and a good fruit / fish / meat covered market just 5 min away on foot. There trains to go to Roma, Ostia antica is amazing. Since we had a rented car we also visited Tivoli (Hadrian Villa and Vlla d'Este) absolutely fantastic.

The hotel is right across the street from the beach with unobstructed view. We had a balcony with chairs and table to watch the world go by. There are lots of restaurants and stores in the area The breakfast buffet and service at breakfast were outstanding. The person at the desk spoke excellent English and was very helpful such as arranging our transportation to the airport.

Location to the beach and proximity to the airport. The hotel offers airport shuttles for a fee but we didn’t take it as we had our car. The room has all essential amenities, little small though. Works for a night or two but would be too small for longer nights.

Was pretty good for what you pay. If you are looking to stay on the beach side of Rome then it’s a good location. However the beaches closest to hotel aren’t the cleanest so you may need to catch a bus that’s only 4 mins
