If you come from the downtown area to catch a flight the next day, you need to know it is really very far away. We first took a bus and sat on it for a long time. The bus didn't stop at the hotel, so we walked almost one hour with our suitcases. If you take a taxi from downtown it would cost you a fortune! This hotel is too far away from downtown.

The reviews I read before booking this were a lie.
The reviews I read before booking this were a lie. This property in no way was a 10. The towels were thin and needed to be replaced. No paper towels of dish towels. We ran out of toilet paper only one roll was provided. The sheets need to be replaced very faded, old and thin. The chairs around the table sunk in, not comfortable at all. Our car got broken into 15 mins after arrival. Met owner out front for keys went back to the car. The window had been smashed on car and everything was stolen! Our suitcases and passports. We lost everything but the clothes on our back!!!! Not a safe area!

Ostia is not Portofino, it's a suburb of Rome that just happens to have a beach! The streets are dirty and overgrown with weeds and walking around is not a pleasure. However, if you have to go there the best cornetti can be found at UBK in Piazza della Stazione Vecchia, the best pizza at Romolo's just around the corner and the best spaghetti alle vongole at Tra il Grano e il Mare just off Via Pietro Rosa. Happy holidays!

The seafront is a mixture of private and public beaches. We found that paying to visit the private beaches more comfortable and cleaner than the public beaches plus the private clubs had restaurants and proper toilets.
There are a few restaurants away from the main square but we tended to stay in the main square. several bars also located in the square, wide selection of food to please everyone.
Area is well luminated and most people said good evening. We never felt threatened.
Three train stations available to take you to Rome which is 40 minutes away. a 72 hour ticket for the train can also be used on the underground and public trams and buses within the area of Rome.

A very Italian seaside resort.
A very Italian seaside resort. Great place to stay outside of Rome, train links into the city are exceptional and so cheap that they are almost free. Beware of pickpockets! Cafes and bars were great and very reasonably priced, nice to be able to relax on the beach and stroll along the front and around the town. Great base from which to visit Ostia Antica and its almost deserted Roman ruins and castle, a far cry from the crowds in central Rome.
Best location in Lido di Ostia - in beauty surrounding, near to beach and restaurants, central station and food shop close. Perfect for 2 couples or family with kids. Very big balcony. There are soundproof windows in bedrooms. Check-in was very easy cause there are 24h access to key lock box with code. Host Ludovica was very helpful. I would go definitely back if visiting Rome. Train ticket to Rome cost 1.50 euro (100 min, on the way you have to change the line), so you can travel to Rome with 3.- (Nov 2022).
Thoroughly enjoyed my stay at this charming and pleasant guest house. We had a clean room with a nice view of the area and a private bathroom. I also appreciated having a dining area where you can have a coffee and relax on the small balcony. And I can't say enough good things about Noemi, who was super personable, helpful, and responsive to our questions and concerns, and even arranged a trip to the airport for us. I highly recommend this place if you're coming to Lido di Ostia!
Perla & Ricardo are the most wonderful hosts. So friendly, welcoming, efficient & helpful, with a great sense of humour. Room was comfortable and the shared terrace is beautiful & spacious. Amazing location by eateries, the sea & 10 min walk to the metro for Ostia Antica archeological site which was my favourite day during my time in Italy. Truly magical place. I would definitely visit and stay here again. Particularly great for a few nights to decompress after central Rome!
A splendid and cozy corner in Lido di Ostia, warm and friendly staff, active support. The comfort of using virtual keys to enter the house and the apartment. Staff guides from the beginning of your trip and provides detailed information on whatever you need. Nice and bright rooms, the apartment is close to the sea, 15 minutes walk. Easy to contact with. Very satisfied and highly recommended.
Good location on the waterfront, though a bit far from everything (€35 for transfer from Fiumicino) but good for a relaxing break. Nice view of the sea from my room. Room was spacious and seemed recently renovated. Bath tub. Tourist port across the road with eating options. Stop for local bus nearby to get bus to the Lido Station for trains to Ostia Antica and Rome.
Very friendly host. Neat and clean apartment with an excellent kitchen and all necessary amenities. The location is excellent for athletes because there is a sports center nearby. The beach is close. Quiet neighborhood.
Unlike other apartments and hotels in Ostia that I have stayed in, the internet here is excellent.
The location was convenient to MCO airport and Rome. The breakfast was very good and wonderful selection to choose from. The room and hotel was clean. Staff was accommodating. The bed was comfortable. . There was many nostalgic items displayed throughout which adds a nice touch to the dated decor.
Rooms were great! Clean with stunning views. Hotel is literally across the street from the beach and the sound of the waves is great to fall asleep to! The staff were very welcoming and accommodating. Parking and airport shuttle worked perfectly! Very nice breakfast in the morning!
By far the best staff in the hotel according to my experiences (very kind and helpful guys). Simple but good quality breakfast. Top location: you step out of the door and there is the beach in front of you, in Ostia I can not imagine better (everything is in 5 min walk).
I loved everything about the Beach Apartment! Beautiful sunrises and sunsets. The host was phenomenal! She had great recommendations for dining. I also accidentally booked the wrong date for leaving and she found us a new place within minutes.
The apartment is right at the beginning of the pedestrian area in Ostia and 2mins from the beach. It has a wonderful and very spacious terrace, perfect to have breakfast or just to chill up there.
