Lovely small town with a relaxed vibe to it (we arrived just as the peak season hoards were leaving). . of restaurants to choose from with a variety of price ranges. Majority offering similar cuisine - pasta, pizza & seafood. The more expensive offered fresh fish of the day & "cordon bleu" style cooking. A few lively bars, that I can imagine being 'very lively' during the peak summer season. A great array of hotels, B&Bs & apartment/rooms/villas Ideally located for Olbia, Porto Cervo & Costa Smerelda as well as Palau & the ferry to La Maddelena. Plenty of excursion options - hiking, cycle (e-bikes & normal), boat hire, sailing & catamaran cruises. We stayed after a week’s sailing from Cannagione and it was an ideal place to rest and recover. The hotel is set in peaceful grounds, with fabulous views over the islands. There was a nice pool, outdoor gym and billiard table. We ate lunch both days and enjoyed regional pasta dishes. The owners / hotel team all made us feel very welcome. It was over priced for what it is. Breakfast was disappointing. Unhelpful reception staff. Rooms were basic and the hallway had a gross smell. The gym is not even a gym that was a bit of a joke advertising they have a gym. It had a yuck vibe about the whole place so I’d definitely be looking for somewhere else to stay. You can arrived quickly to the port, or to the important beaches from Caniggioni, or North of Sardinia. Close to the store, or restaurants, beach.
