The location was amazing. Beautiful views in a quiet neighborhood within walking distance to a lakeside bar and great restaurant. The entrance to a multi-kilometer walking and biking trail was just outside the front door. Convenient and safe parking just across the way at a reasonable cost.

The views were spectacular! It is truly a place that does everything. First and foremost, a farm, they produce all of their food right on the cliffside. The place features several cats, a sweet dog, goats, pigs, cows, several gardens, and the most tranquil spots to lounge and take in Lake Iseo from the top of a hill. The breakfast and dinners were also excellent and made with veggies right from the garden. It was a very lucky find and I can't wait to return soon

Beautiful small city, well placed in the middle of the east coast of lake Iseo with a view on one of the small islands. Facilities for everything you nee and the small post office was entertaining (do not expect express, relax and enjoy Italy). It is a great spot to relax, doing water sports, start hiking, cycling, taking a ride on the ferry or doing a day trip by car to Bergamo, Milan, Verona or even Venice. There are plenty restaurants in the nearby area and the two pizzerias in the city provide a good Italian pizza for a reasonable price

Perfect place for active people.

Perfect place for active people. Close to the lake, you can swim, take a boat ride, go to the mountains. We have tried some easier via ferrata. There is couple places to have a great italien food in Marone.

There are so many things to do and see in northern Italy, and Marone proved to be an excellent base from which to be tourists. We spent a day exploring the lago and Monte Isola, both of which deserved much more time. We visited friends at Lake Como, but experienced very bad traffic on our return from Como to Bergamo.

I personally love small towns and getting to know the local areas. There is plenty of area for walking and biking everywhere as well as a boat taxi to take you to the island. Since we were in off season, it was difficult to get accurate taxi information; even their website was wrong. HA. The food, the people, the area itself are just lovely.

My husband and I really enjoyed our stay. We had a really warm welcome by Nicola, who is an extremely helpful and well organized host. It’s very calm and relaxing to spend the time in the wonderful garden with its olive trees and just read or relax at the dock or in the hammock. But if you’re looking for more action, there’s also plenty to do in the area like cycling, water sports or hiking. In Marone you’ll find bars/cafes. The apartment itself was very pretty, spacious and clean. We would definitely like to come back.

The location is wonderful with lovely views from the terrace over the lake. The area is beautiful with restaurants in the local town of Marone. The bedrooms and bathrooms are spacious. Coffee and oils etc were handy. The hosts were very kind and helpful. parking permit is helpful.
