Everything! Luigi is one of the loveliest hosts ever. The caffeine machine was next level, and open 24 hours (which is very nice and very rare). Such a generous selection in the kitchen, wonderful culture, central location, parking was excellent, adjacent to local cuisine of the village, where we tried our first steak Florentine, which was magnificent, besides many other beauties on the property. We WILL return!

    Massa is not overrun with toursits. The mountains are beautful, the beach was clean, water clear and white sand beaches. There are plenty of free beach areas with showers. The beach is clean as well. Lots of restaurants and the grocery stores have a huge variety of food and it was not over priced. We found the local restaurants excellent value and people were very friendly.

    Calm village, a little bit industrial, but its not noisy. Not many aboard tourist so you can experience a full Italian lifestyle. Beautiful views on the sea and mountains. Cool place to have nice walks, see the main promenade around 3 kilometers away, and it's a good place to get on the local trips. You have Pisa 40 minutes away by car, Florence 1,5h away, Cinque terre around 1h away etc.

    Hotel Buongustaio is a lovely hotel in the hills above Massa. The view from the hotel is wonderful particularly at sunset. The staff are really efficient and friendly and the restaurant is great. Big shout out to the waitress Francesca, who was really friendly and superb, and the receptionist, who served our drinks at the poolside every day. The pool area is lovely and the pool is spotlessly clean, as is the whole hotel. I highly recommend this hotel if you want a relaxing time by the pool.

    I spent a week in the Paladini Apartment together with my daughter. Because I like the mountains and my daughter the sea, Marina di Massa offers both options. The location is ideal, about 400m from de sea, apartment has everything what you need and very clean, parking in the yard, the owner is a very welcoming person. I can definitely recommend this location, especially for families. We will definitely come back.
