The facilities are indeed a bit dated as in other reviews, but everything is very well maintained, spotlessly clean and very comfortable. It is excellent value for money. There are many hiking routes to and from the hotel. Note that the hotel lies quite high and it takes about 20 minutes on a steep and curvy road to get there from the main road in the valley to Merano and Bolzano. It may be quicker to park in Vilpiano and take the cable car up.Guest review byMatthijsNetherlands

There's a village with 2 decent supermarkets and 4 acceptable restaurants at a few minutes driving, bit except for 1 restaurant it's too far to walk.
