This boutique hotel is located in a beautifully restored open courtyard building. The preservation of its beauty was thoughtfully planned, and attention was given to every detail. The host, Guisi, was warm and welcoming, and always willing to respond to any questions or suggestions. One day, I had the honor of sharing Pranzo ,and she is also an excellent chef. Talent exudes her! What a wonderful experience. Menfitani are filled with kindness. As for my room, it was beautiful, the original majolica floor tiles perfectly centered in the sitting area, along with all modern conveniences, with subtle additions of antique furnishings. The window looked out onto the rooftops of the town, just lovely. The bed was super comfy. Everything was delightful.

We left the resort early so we couldn´t enjoy the whole breakfast but the staff made us a take-away breakfast and it was a super lovely surprise. We enjoyed the beautiful pool area and the view to the sea. The room and shared areas were clean and stylish. Local wine was excellent!

The restaurant was not open for dinner.

The restaurant was not open for dinner. A car would be essential for elderly people. The smell in the room we were first assigned was intolerable. The junior staff were kind like most people in Sicily. The Manager was unconcerned about us. He made concessions only under pressure. We left as early as possible after 1 night and were refused any refund for the remaining 2 nights. The beach was superb.

Menfi is a well positioned small town about 60 Km southwest of Palermo. Perfectly positioned to explore the coastal stretch from Trapani to Agrigento... beautiful beaches, historic sides, wine estates and ancient ruins...

We travelled in April.

We travelled in April. Weather was good on paper (sunny - 23 degrees, although a little windy). However, there weren't many restaurants / shops open in Menfi. A few bars and nice places to eat were open, but we stayed somewhere without a restaurant or cooking facilities so it became tricky to eat out in the evenings and the town felt a little dead at times. Menfi is a great place to access some beautiful beaches (beware, not much was open on the beaches in April) as well as Selinunte. also within easy reach of Sciacca (which had much more of a vibe at this time of year, being a larger town, and more history etc) and we enjoyed the hot springs Terme Acqua Pia, about a 20 min drive away. We liked Menfi and reckon it would be a great place to be based during the summer months (you do need a car though, not sure what transport would be like in the summer but we'd have been stuck without one) but at this time of year I would probably go somewhere a little bigger/busier if/when we go again. It was absolutely lovely though, and if you're looking for somewhere super chilled it would be perfect, especially if you had cooking facilities. But we'd love to return in June / July!

Masseria del Carboj is a very special place. A stunning, serene oasis. We absolutely loved it & cannot wait to return. Beautiful, large, comfortable room with a view, wonderful pool & gardens. Marco the host & staff were so friendly & helped. The dinner in the restaurant was amazing & delicious. We enjoyed their own wines & olive oil. Close to Menfi, Selinunte & 10-15 minutes to the beach. An hour from Agrigento. Loved, loved, loved it!

Beautiful and comfortable villa and pool with all the facilities you could need. The owners left essentials as well as breakfast items which we appreciated. Perfect place to relax, swim and enjoy the view. Easy to reach lovely beaches and interesting places nearby. Menfi has plenty of great places to eat (we especially enjoyed Maharia with its beautiful roof top restaurant)
