Nice and very quiet location. No other buildings around, just the woods for kilometers. The hotel has been renovated recently and it is spotless clean. The staff is very friendly and helpful.

Al Merlo Bianco seems too wonderful to be true. The staff, the location, the price, the hotel decor, the restaurant on the terrace overlooking the Devil's Bridge, the overall hospitality are all superb. Simone was full of sparkly kindness. He parked our car in the free public lot, he upgraded our room when we had a problem with the air conditioning, and ran the osteria with smiling efficiency. We ate all our meals on the terrace and immensely enjoyed the food, view and atmosphere and had great chats with Max, the server. Compliments to the chef for the delicious menu. Every room is beautifully and eclectically decorated. The Vittorio Podrecca marionette museum was a fun discovery. Cividale del Friuli is a lovely town to wander around. I would highly recommend this place.

I thought the house would be quite narrow, but it didnt bother me at all. With washing machine and equipped kitchen, also possible for longer stay. Excellent location!

    Montemaggiore is a remote, tiny village at the slope of Mt. Matajur. It overlooks the Adriatic Sea. The locals are incredibly friendly! There is only one cafe, they serve delicious coffee - the air is fresh, at night you hear no cars, only the wind and once in a while a dog barking and you can see millions of stars.
