Very clean spacious and comfortable. Everything is new and works well. The owner has thought of everything so it is well equipped including in the kitchen. Beds are comfortable. In a residential area a short walk to the small town. Parking is on the street and can be a bit of a short walk if no space out front but no problem.

Muggia is a small coastal town near Trieste...and it is a very happening town that comes alive at night...where families come together at the central square for ice creams and some good food...I really liked the entire vibe of this town it's very clean and quiet and extremely relaxing...the restaurant has fresh seafood options if you're into seafood and amazing wines and a really good seafront to walk around. i really liked it...calm and relaxing place.

We liked Muggia.

We liked Muggia. It is small and easy to navigate the old town. The main Piazza has several bars and cafes, friendly and welcoming for a drink or a meal, and fun for people watching. There are more cafes and bars towards the waterfront. Just stroll around and enjoy the relative tranquility. We arrived in Trieste by train, taxi to Muggia was around 35 euros. We took a day trip back to Trieste by ferry (fun in itself), and did lots of walking from Muggia. It's a nice respite from the tourist circuit, and so pretty with stone buildings and small alleyways, plus the castle (exterior) and Duomo to enjoy. Muggia Vecchio, up on the hill behind, was well worth the walk.

We were there outside the main season, and the place was quite quiet. Good access to Trieste and the surrounding area, you can also use well-organized public transport. Choice of restaurants, we can recommend the Italian family, Osteria Al Corridoio, or the excellent steak house Braceria Mangal.

Muggia is close to Trieste and we could bring our dog here,...

Muggia is close to Trieste and we could bring our dog here, so we chose it. We mostly went into the city by local bus, which took about 35 minutes and was cheap. We also tried the scheduled boat service, which was even faster. There are very good cafes and bakeries in the city center. We also found a good pizza place.

Muggia is a beautiful place to feel at home, relax, and enjoy interesting sights and good restaurants. It has excellent transport links to Trieste, a wonderful view of the bay, good hiking opportunities, and a very friendly atmosphere.

We liked the place really much, it has all the amenities you need, except air conditioner, as others have mentioned in previous comments, but we kindly asked Franca if she could bring us a fan and she did and that was amazing. She and her brother are really nice, warm and communicative people and we will visit them again when we get the chance. Also, their pets are really friendly, we loved them and I think they loved us too. The place is quiet, 20 minutes walking distance from muggia center and a 30 minutes ride to Trieste center.

In the All' antica stazione lodging, we were welcomed by a friendly Niccolo, who showed us to our room, introduced us to the climate, told us what we can see in Muggia and made us the best espresso. The rooms were clean, bed linen and towels, toiletries, all this was included, as was breakfast. The room is small but big enough for two people. The bathroom with bidet is also smaller but clean. The hotel serves food between morning and evening.
