The Belvedere is a family-run hotel in Passignano Sul Trasimeno, on a gentle hill 10 minutes' walk from the center. lt offers an outdoor swimming pool and free parking. Everything was perfect about our stay in this lovely hotel. We planned on staying 1 night, but we even prolonged our stay with one more night. The host (Roberto if I remember well) was really nice and accomodating, the room was clean and big with a good bed and a great balcony, and the swimming pool was very nice as well. I accidently broke the soap bottle and didn't even have to pay for it even though I insisted several times... The location is also very good, not far from the centre of Passignano where there are some cute bars near the water. Wouldn't have changed anything about our stay in this hotel, it was perfect!

This is a beautiful scenic part of Italy. There is an exceptionally good choice of restaurants but whilst my husband and I like to eat about 6 in the evening most do not open until 7.30. This resort though, offers delicious locally sourced food, fish, seafood including fresh lobster, has a lovely delicatessen behind the old police station and some decent supermarkets. There doesn't seem to be any local buses service to get about and taxi provision is sparse and expensive {usually a minimum charge of 15€}. We used the local trains which offer great value to get about you can get to Florence in about 90 mins.
Small, nice city with old town in the heart. Small harbor by the lake with the possibility to make a trip to the island of Maggiore. In the evening lots of restaurants with deliciuos food and pizza.
Lovely setting on the lake.5 min walk to train station...we got the train to peruggia...well worth a visit. Hotel was clean Breakfast was good.staff friendly. Plenty of lovely restaurants to choose from.
Beautiful town and people who, (with the exception of the B&B staff) were friendly and helpful. Pretty promenade, exceptional food, particularly Morgan’s restaurant, which was second to none. Would never again book L’arco B&B di Charme however. On arrival we were met by an aggressive member of staff demanding up front “cash” for our booking as soon as we entered the building. We asked to view the room before payment. This was met with further verbal aggression presumably as we had not yet paid. We were finally taken to see the room and the “private” bathroom which was located up several flights of steep stairs. In addition to this the receptionist was unable to unlock the bathroom door! We are in the winter of our lives and would have found nighttime treks to the bathroom intolerable and dangerous. The receptionist was unable to converse with us properly except through a third party, via the phone. The room was dowdy with a non existant lake view (as per website description). Additionally, breakfast was not provided on site but via a cafe somewhere in the area. The reality of the B&B did not match up to the website description. We declined to stay in view of all the above and in particular because of the bathroom issues. The receptionist initially agreed there would be no charge but we later received a threatening email demanding a cancellation payment. Failure to do so we were told, would incur police Involvement. Booking.com advised we pay €80. We reluctantly agreed to this to prevent further hassle and problems with departure home. On meeting to pay we were confronted by a large young man with a pit bull dog. When we suggested we were being intimitated he agreed (I have the video to confirm this). The charge was increased to €94.40 which we paid just to resolve the issue and flee the dog. In view of the lack of support from Booking.com it will be unlikely I would consider booking through them again.
If you like big lakes and lake villages and if you don’ mind some insect and tourists, than I suppose it is a perfect place to be in. If you’re more like me, and don’t enjoy swimming in lakes that much, than you might appreciate the landscape and neighbouring villages which are truly a wonder to look at.
We were traveling with 5-year-old & 3-year-old grandchildren so the excellent playground nearby on one side was great. Additionally, on the other side was kiddie-bumper-cars & other kiddie rides. Really great! We chose the property because it looked nice, was on the lake, and was walking distance from train station.
Passignano sul Trasimeno

Passignano sul Trasimeno
The guy did his best according to his lights. He was spot on time to meet me. There was a free bottle of wine and some mineral water waiting for me. Also a more or less usable bicycle in a shed. Small supermarket nearby. Within walking distance of train and ferry stations.
very friendly hotel staff, they could not have been more helpful. Breakfasts were good, but, coffee was excellent. evening meal fixed menus and house wine were outstanding value and always interesting. Room was spacious with a lovely terrace with views of the lake.
Luana was very kind and received me very well. The ferry station to go to the "Isola Maggiore" is about 30 mins away by walk from the hotel. A good view of the lake from the bar/swimming pool. The bed was comfortable. I recommend this place.
Good location near to shops and restaurants. Near waterside. Public transport. Friendly staff. Little balcony to sit out on.
The hotel is run by a family, and they've been incredibly helplfull and kind during our stay.
property was easily accessed and close to lots of lovely places to visit near the lake.
