This is a little gem of a hotel. Silvia the owner made our time there special. Her welcome, the extra care with my diet restrictions, her calm assistance with anything we wished to know. Offer of underground parking to keep the car cool. Thank you Hotel la Vela wish we were coming back soon.

The location was fabulous within walking distance of restaurants, groceries , shops, etc. The view to the lake across the street was amazing and the walkways were so easy to navigate. The host was so accommodating and helpful for information. We highly recommend this jewel of an apartment! Comfortable bed and furnishings as well as state of the art mini kitchen and modern fixtures blended superbly with the ancient original building. First class.

Everything! Monica is a sweetheart and is so accommodating. We will certainly refer her to friends, family and business associates looking for lovely accommodations that are finely appointed, very quiet and comfortable, while also being affordable. Luxury Apartment is a gem and we are so happy to have discovered it. And don't miss out on meals at Cuore di Mamma Ristorante which sits right below the apartment. We stayed in the villa for 10 consecutive days on a star trip, the place and location are excellent, parking is close to the farm, the house is large, clean, tidy and spacious, the kitchen is always full of food, pastries and drinks, the owners are charming and take care of us all the time, the view is stunning, highly recommended for travelers in Umbria

It's a charming little place especially if you take the time...

It's a charming little place especially if you take the time to walk up the through the steep back streets to the old fort. There are some good restaurants and fortunately it hasn't yet been completely Disneyfied, unlike the larger options around the lake. The proximity to the ferry for trips to Lago Maggiore does attract a lot of day trippers. There are lovely paved walkways along a large stretch of lakeside.

Everything within the town was within walking distance. We travelled by train with suitcases and didn't need a taxi. The ferry to Isola Maggiore was a highlight of our trip. We used Passignano as a base to travel to Assisi by train, which was straightforward. Perugia is also worth exploring but we had already stayed there before coming on to Passignano. There were a lot of restaurants, but we mostly ate at home. It took us a few days to find the small town centre supermarket, which would have saved us the longer walk to the Coop, beyond the station. The pasticceria was a favourite shop! This is such a lovely location that it could be very busy in the middle of summer. We were there early in the season and it was only busy on the Sunday.

Passignano is a nice town on Lake Trasimeno.

Passignano is a nice town on Lake Trasimeno. There is not much to see in the town itself, but being on a trainline it is easy to get to Florence, Assisi and especially Perugia. There are plenty of good-value places to eat.

The town itself was nice and fun, very nice walks and...

The town itself was nice and fun, very nice walks and restaurants. If you have the car, you can drive around the lake and see the surrounding area, which has quite a lot to offer in terms of historical buildings and history in general. The scenery was nice too. Opposite Passignano sul Trasimeno, across the lake, was another town, Castgliano del Lago or whatever it's called, I wasn't in there but it looked interesting too. The only thing that was a little worse is that the water was bad and it was not recommended to swim in. There were few places you could swim, I went there but it didn't look appealing so I just swam in the pool. It is still a good destination to stay there for a few days and enjoy.

The property is in a perfect position in the centre of the village with a balcony overlooking the lake. It is spacious, well equipped and very comfortable. There are lots of lovely bars and restaurants nearby. We hired bikes from Carlo at Trattoria del Pescortore & cycled around the lake. There is also a ferry service. We would highly recommend staying in this apartment.
