You have to see it to believe it.
You have to see it to believe it. A visit to Pietrapertosa will confirm just what lengths the ancients would go to to protect themselves by building on the top of any place that would be incredibly difficult to attack. The owner was extremely helpful when we arrived much later than anticipated. We were guided into the accommodation and a booking made for our dinner nearby. We loved the accommodation and its view from the terrace, both of which made the long climb up the mountain worthwhile! The house is right in the middle of Pietrapertosa, less than 10 minutes walk to all 3 hiking spots and restaurants in town. She met us on arrival and helped with some issues we had purchasing the parking ticket. Pietrapertosa is an incredible town, the location of the apartment is it's biggest win.
