Tenuta Luogo Marchese is well located between the medieval town of Castelbuono and the famous see side town of Cefalu. A very quiet place hidden in the hills. Lucia and Archimedes took a great care of us. We have tried several restaurants in the area, but the dinners served at this agriturismo were absolutely fantastic! The chef is a cooking genius cooking with his heart. Be ready for full four course menu dinner, he cannot do any smaller, I think :-) Local wine served with the dinner could easily take a contest in a wine competition.

We received a very warm welcome from Lina and Angelo, who are exceptional hosts! The hotel is nicely renovated and offers a lovely experience in what used to be an old Monastery. There are plenty of parking spaces and the scenery is amazing. The hotel is only 10 minutes away from the beautiful village of San Mauro Castelverde and 30 minutes away from nearby beaches. Breakfast was good and so was the food served at the restaurant.

The location was excellent, with a charming and authentic Italian style that made the stay feel special. Our room had a lovely view of the garden, which added to the peaceful atmosphere—there were only a few other guests, so it was very quiet and relaxing. The hosts were incredibly welcoming and cooked delicious food. Breakfast was generous and full of fresh, high-quality ingredients—definitely a highlight of our stay!

    Pollina is a great little hilltop community.

    Pollina is a great little hilltop community. We stayed in a house in the center of winding narrow stone streets that require trekking up and down to see all the nooks and crannies. If you have mobility challenges, it is difficult, but if you like to hike, it’s wonderful! It is hard to get to without a car. We trained to Cefalù and then took a rather obscure bus that left the Cefalù train station around 14:00. However, almost no one at the train station had any info about the bus. So, just be patient as you try to get to Pollina without a car. Leaving on the bus is also limited to 07:00 or 15:00.
