It is an amazing city that you never finish exploring!

It is an amazing city that you never finish exploring! I found it much cleaner than in other occasions, although I never let this cloud my view of the city. We bought the Italia Pass, which at first thought it was expensive per person, but actually was very useful and convenient and saved me a lot of money! I went with my family and "kids"... We are all adults in my group so we enjoyed the historic Rome, food, wine and just "il bel far niente". We speak Italian, but not fluently, and I observed that many Italians speak English and/or Spanish, which helped a lot!

Security was strong for obvious reasons, not only due to the religious factors but history, artefacts paintings etc. The Italian cuisine is at your disposal with its many gents and ladies clothing shops.

Rome is centrally located in Italy.

Rome is centrally located in Italy. If you stay close to Termini you can travel to any other cities via train conveniently. There are ample places to eat great food away from the tourist sites (Antica Boheme, Sorpasso, 50 Kalo, just go to restaurants that are away from touristic places). Everywhere within 3 miles you should walk because you will find gems & treasures around. It's our 2nd time there we are still fascinated by its food & sites.

Liked the ability to walk everywhere and to avoid organised tours or city passes or hop on hop off bus tours. Truly you don’t need any of this to enjoy Rome. Best bit was the unexpected treasures bumped into on the way to the main sites.. The Airport and transport to and from Terminus is really very well organised.

Rome is an amazing city but unfortunately every street was crowed with tourist. I was a tourist as well. I would much more prefer to have limited dates to visit the city than go to a city where even walking on the street was an effort.

Rome is extremely safe nowadays, armed guards and soldiers everywhere, especially at Termini and all the big sights like Colosseum which is very reassuring for peace of mind. Rome is a magical, exciting city but has charm like no where else. The food is very reasonable and delicious, most sights are either free or low charge, so much to see and wear comfy shoes as the cobble stones are tough going. It rained when we went in November but we were prepared. The people are so friendly and caring. I loved Rome so much and will be back.

Quiet, traditional hotel close to the colosseum, great staff, amazing breakfast, Francesca is amazing in proving help and replying to all questions. I am a frequent visitor to Rome for many years (twice a year), and usually stay at Trastevere or Campo dei Fiori, this time for new years I decided to stay at Lancelot, also because I am a travel designer specialist in Italy, and I am always testing new hotels for my clients. Lancelot will be in my list of hotels.

This is an absolutely fantastic boutique hotel in Monti. It is located very conveniently in Rome and the rooms are gorgeous and a decent size for Italy. Above all however, the staff are absolutely amazing. They all went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable and enjoyed our stay. It felt like they were welcoming us into their home, rather than a hotel. We can’t wait to come back!

The staff were all amazing, so friendly, pleasant, welcoming and helpful. We’ve stayed in many hotels in Italy but here the staff were head and shoulders above all the rest ☺️ The hotel itself was lovely too, clean, comfortable and super location, right beside the Spanish Steps! We’ll definitely stay here again when back in Rome.

Fantastic, friendly and polite front desk staff. If it weren't for them, the stay would have been miserable. The location is also great. The movie atmosphere of the hotel is quite ok but you lose the atmosphere of Italy and Rome with this.
