Offering a garden and garden view, Country House in Portofino Mount & Natural Park is located in Portofino, a 9-minute walk from Paraggi Beach and 0.8 miles from Pedale Beach. Very quiet, no people around, pure nature all around the house. The kitchen is also the living room which is very cosy. I really enjoyed living there for one week. In summer you do not need heating and in automn when we were there then you can fire the oven. I realy liked to collect wood around the house and to fire the oven. :-)

It was delightful! A place for walking and for contemplation and delicious food. The pebbly beach sits in front of the awe-inspiring Abbey & Church and you can glimpse a life there from bygone times. I hope it remains a tranquil and unspoilt hamlet.
When we got to San Fruttuoso, an isolated destination with access only on foot and by ferry and limited phone cover, we found that they had made a mistake and there was no-one at the property at all. We were told that this was not the first time it had happened. And this despite me having emailed with an arrival time the day before. Luckily we were 'rescued' by a helpful apartment owner. Otherwise, at that time of day, our only option would have been to walk on a further two hours.
San Fruttuoso is a beautifull small fishermen village set in an emerald green cove of the Monte di Portofino. You can get there walking on the tracks of Monte di portofino from Camogli or Santa Margherita, or board on of the small ferries (vaporetti) sailing from the same two towns. We were very happy with our dinner at Da Giovanni but I think that the two other trattorie are good too. A tip is to go there by vaporetto from Santa Margherita, have a tour of San Fruttuoso and than go to Camogli: in this way you will visit three different, and equally beautiful villages of East Liguria
San Fruttuoso is a gem of a place situated behind the Portofino bay! You can arrive there only by boat of making 2 hours trekking from Portofino! An old abbey has a lot of history and is very charming! a bay of San Fruttuoso will surprise you with the deep turquoise color of the water!
