It was in close proximity to the areas we wanted to visit and to restaurants. It has very comfortable rooms and the breakfast was very good. The staff spoke English which was good for us as we do not know Italian. The staff was very helpful in telling us different places to go to help us on our trip. We used its taxi service to take us to The Cave of St. Michael the Archangel and the driver was very informative.

I like my all my total experienced in the hotel. Everything in the hotel is totally clean. Near the bus stop and close to groceries and Italian bakeries and restos. There is also a laundry area that is waking distance.The nuns who are running the daily operation are so kind. I give this hotel perfect rate! Highly recomended.

I like everything about this hotel. The location, the staff, the room, and breakfast. Everything. It's a family owned hotel. The couple who owns the hotel are retired teacher and doctor who are very nice people. One of the nicest I've met. They even dropped us off the bus station when we left. Very kind people. I'd recommend this place to friends and family who would visit San Giovanni. And if I'd visit this place in the future, I'd stay here again. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

The space was delightful for the kids. With play areas nearby, within and close to the premises, the kids had no shortage of fun. Although the pool was not open at the time, we could see that it would be a real positive advantage in the warmer times. The staff was very friendly and catered to us - even helping with special needs for the baby. The rooms were spacious, clean and quite comfortable. We even had one of our family members (a professional pianist) play the piano in the lobby for "apéro time".

    It has been in my bucket list for a long time so I am very happy that my dream was fulfilled. What a joy to visit a sacred place. I had read 2 books about Padre Pio and I am truly touched by his life .He is my most revered saint. San Giovanni Rotondo is all about him. A must see place!!!

    I like this small city, usually I'm stay here for two nights. I like to spend one day visiting the churches of Padre Pio, which are so different from others. Good for meditation, for being alone with your thoughts. 'The Factory' is a restaurant with delicious food and good prices. 30 minutes from San Giovanni Rotondo is Archangel Michael's Church in Monte Angelo, beautiful and must-see place!

    Be very careful in Foggia station as you walk out, loads of not so good people waiting for tourists to victimize. Be careful with your belongings, my bag was stolen in split seconds. Avoid going there at night, outside the station is not a well lit road. Bus going to San Giovanni is everyday and every hour. Basilica of Padre Pio Pietrelchina is worth visiting. It is sacred, clean and really beautiful.

    I love SGR. This is my fourth visit, and I never tire of it.

    I love SGR. This is my fourth visit, and I never tire of it. The “new” church however, is hideous. The Adoration Chapel and Shrine with Pio’s body are beautiful, but the building itself is poorly label (as per directions), dead-ends all over the place, and the main church itself is beyond ugly. But, as my friend tells me, when I ask him how Mass was, he says, “Jesus showed up.” And that He did!

    The location was ideal for visiting San Giovanni Rotondo. The hospital/Churches and restaurants/bars were close by. If you travelled by bus the bus station was a couple of minutes away. Religious shops were also only a few minutes walk. The Hotel was very pleasant, with a bar and restaurant and outside seating. Breakfast simple but pleasant. Restaurant food very good with a good service and well priced.
