Located 328 feet from the center of Santa Marina Salina, on the Eolian island of Salina, Hotel Arcangelo - Salina offers an outdoor pool. This was the 3rd year in a row that we chose Salina and Hotel Arcangelo for our Holidays. Once again everything was simply perfect. The location just a bit uphill is quiet but conveniently located just 60 seconds away from the main street and at the same time offers an amazing panoramic view both from the room and the common areas and pool. Breakfast was simply amazing with lot of good choices and great coffe always served with a smile by Marina. Also the owner and Giuseppe at the reception were extremely kind and helpful and entertaining, tried to find for us any possible solution to arrange a visit to Stromboli or even just suggest some nice place to see or have dinner I hope we can visit again Salina also next year, for the choice or where to stay I believe we don’t have any doubt :)

B&B La Goletta di Salina is located on the beach in Santa Marina Salina. It features elegant rooms with hand-painted tiles and free WiFi. There are also a shared terrace with sea views, and a garden. I liked that it was so rustic and had its own private beach complete with lettini. It was quite the oasis, close to port but away from hubub. Room and bathroom were charming and spacious and we really dont care about fancy amenities. We just go to the hotel to sleep, shower and have breakfast. Otherwise we want to be outdoors. It was a little hard to find but in the end that was part of the charm. I speak Italian so I was in communication with the owner. Her son Daniele was in charge and he was lovely.

Beautiful town on the island of Salina. We wished we planned our holiday so that we had a lot longer on this island. The pace of life is much more laid back in comparison to the main land of Sicily. It’s an ideal spot to base yourself if you want to explore the other islands too. We rented a scooter one day and explored the island - it was one of the best things we did in our whole holiday - it would be worth renting one for you whole stay. There are lots of lovely restaurants all around the island and lots of lovely spots to explore too.
What can I say about Salina that has not already been written? Stay at Hotel Punta Barone in Maria Santa Salina and have delicious, quiet dinner at 'nni Lausta. Get a bus schedule and ride around (but not in the front, where locals chat with the driver). Go to spectacular Pollara (location of "Il Postino"), with a Hitchcockian ride down the twisting road to the village. After you down to the beach and back up again, relax with a drink at L'Oasi. Head to Malfa (the largest town and transit center), with beautiful little streets, and have a granito at the town center while you wait for your next bus. for panoramic views of the entire island chain, hike up Monte Fosse della Felci. Ride down to Lingua for a delicious lunch at A La Cannata. See the beautiful seafront desert park at Rinella. You will have a wonderful time.
We enjoyed being near the ocean and how peaceful it was, after the pace of Palermo. We ate at porto bella - very nice and the shops provided all we needed for other meals. The ferry service can be nterrupted with bad weather, so watch the forecasts.
Loved our hotel ! Hotel Arcangelo - beautiful view of the sea . We would definitely stay here again if we could but I would stay longer than 2 nights - it wasn't enough time - the restaurants were great nearby -you could walk into town easily from the property - clean , clean , clean and very kind staff - Highly recommend this property! Went swimming in the sea walked along the edge of the sea - great little plaza near where the ferry docks - View of Lipari and Panarea and Stromboli from the town and our hotel !
Beautiful island in the Tyrrhenian Sea. Slow paced in June, few tourists. We did a boat trip around the island an were the only two on the boat for the first leg of the trip. Beautiful sea views! Ample good restaurants!
A beautiful town without many tourists with great restaurants such as Nani Lausta, giving a superb experience of Italian living and culture. The island was delightful with an incredible local vineyard, Capa Faro, 3km down the road which is a must see. The views were exceptional at every point around the island. Overall a fantastic location and wonderful experience
