Modern day Sibari is a tiny hamlet, with nothing of interest. There is only one dinner option (a pizzeria) but that was closed during my stay. There is no local public transport. The only reason to visit the place would be the archaeological park. The excavations, and the museum, are still in progress but they are already quite spectacular. You come to Sibari either for the beach (which is great in April, clean and you're all alone) or for the archeology museum and the excavation sites. To my frustration, the museum and the sites were closed the day I was there because the day before was a public holiday, and they didn't write that on their official homepage.
