Location is perfect. Facilities clean and beautiful. The staff were lovely. When we arrived we discovered we had no electricity (no aircon) in our room. They kindly offered us a new room which ended up as an upgrade. This was so greatly appreciated as we had just finished our first day driving on the opposite side and our hire car overheating, we were exhausted. We stayed 6 nights, breakfast was delicious, Pool was clean with amazing views and room was comfortable.

We had a an absolutely lovely stay. Cassandra was so helpful with recommending a lovely restaurant (best meal we had in our two weeks in Italy) and making us comfortable. The breakfast was amazing - we were spoiled for choice and everything is well-presented and delicious. You can not ask for a nicer view. I would highly recommend this lovely house in the mountain!

The cleanest place I've ever stayed at. The house is very cozy, comfortable and smells so good. It has everything one might need. Debby is such a kind woman and very caring hostess. Communication via chat was easy and she responded to all my inquiries. She had the nice gesture to wash my clothes as well.

Lovely farmhouse which has been lovingly restored by the owners. A very friendly welcome, and extra touches eg morning coffee, though breakfast is not included, were much appreciated. Great pool, which was fantastic to cool down late afternoon after a busy sightseeing day! Spello is very close, and is such a pretty flower filled town, as well as excellent bars and restaurants. Assisi is nearby too, and is definitely worth a visit or two.

The hosts were so welcoming, friendly and helpful. Offered coffee on arrival and had a good chat- was great to practice my italian. Went out to explore Spello and when I came back after dinner,i was offered their delicious home made licquor and once again had a good chat. The house was lovely and bedroom and bathroom spotless. Breakfast was substantial. On leaving the following day, they asked if I needed a lift anywhere.. Very gracious and accomodating hosts.

We originally chose this place for the location. It's the perfectly paced between the train station for fun day trips and Spello's beautiful scenery. In the end we stayed another night because the host was super friendly, the pool was a lifesaver in hot days and visiting this beautiful town was left so easy by its perfect location. If you have the choice, go for this place and not a fancy soulless hotel and you'll have just as much a blast like we did!

Small and not overrun with lots of foreign tourists. Station very convenient so easy to use as a base to visit Asissi, Spoleto and Perugia, yet plenty to see in Spello. A delightful little hill town. Hard walking up hill but downhill all the way home if accommodation was at the bottom end of the walled city.

Spello is a beautiful, super-friendly village that was the perfect town in which to decompress and enjoy a gentler pace of life after spending time in bigger cities. The views were amazing, the people everywhere were kind and welcoming, the food in restaurants amazing, and it is overall a gorgeous village, right on a main train line from Florence to Assisi and beyond.

Spello is by far the most beautiful town in the area.

Spello is by far the most beautiful town in the area. Inside the Roman wall, everything is beautifully maintained. There is fine dining of a quality far above what you would expect in a small town, Il Molino and La Cantina are exceptional. You do need a car to explore the area. Train travel to Roma and Firenze is easy which makes it a good base. Everything you need or want is within walking distance, but have to be able to walk up hills or it will be too difficult and you will miss most of it. I was there during the quiet of winter. I imagine it can get pretty busy in tourist season.

Villamena B&B is a beautiful place to stay in Spello. Our 3 nights were perfect in every way and meeting Alessandro & his father was a highlight. They are the most kind and professional hosts. Breakfast by the pool in the morning was most enjoyable. Our room was spotless and extremely comfortable. We were able to walk easily to the train station and also into the Centro Storico of Spello. It was so relaxing to return home for a swim in the pool & to then sit poolside and read a book. We very much hope to return.

Amazing apartment in the heart of gorgeous medieval village Spello Fully equipped,quiet. Spello for sure can be the starting point and basis for exploring Umbria.We had 11 days staying in Spello and driving every day to the different but charming places. 5 min from the village center.Feeling of medieval atmosphere exploring narrow streets of Spello. Free parkings around the village(not inside).

Staying in the pretty streets of Spello is a really special experience. The location, view and home comforts with a sitting room and kitchen to cook in made for a really enjoyable few days in this gorgeous place. Free parking a short walk from the accommodation is also very convenient.

A delightful apartment near the top of the old town. The pool and jacuzzi are private and not overlooked. Along with the sauna, this made it feel like a proper luxury stay. Large bedrooms with air conditioning kept it comfortable even when temperatures were in the 30s.
