Tarquinia is a beautiful historic city with an unfortunate lack of transportation. The bus system is hard to navigate and understand. There are no taxis or ubers, I recommend using a car to travel around between Lido and Tarquinia. Be sure to check if the restaurant you are trying to eat at takes walk ins, otherwise you need to make reservations. The archaeological museum is excellent and the staff are very kind. Beautiful laid back walled city on the crest of a high hill with spectacular views westward over the Mediterranean, and a few blocks away one can view a spectacular panorama of the great valleys to the east. We really enjoyed our room at this quaint bed and breakfast The whole bnb was smaller than we expected however it did take away from the pleasure and comfort. We enjoyed a front room which looked out over the roof tops of Tarquinius and towards the sea. Great sunset view . Facilities were excellent and breakfast very nice. Lovely girl serving us .
