Terni is a wonderful city.
Terni is a wonderful city. In my opinion it's a hidden gem of Italy. It's an easy 1-hour train ride from Rome, and on the way to all the northern Italian cities. Terni Centro has almost no cars, so incredibly walking friendly, full of cafes, gelaterias, and pizza. All, with picture book old Italian architecture. Terni was great as a base.
Terni was great as a base. Good rail connections to Assisi, Spello and Perugia. Nothing much in Terni itself. Try to find accommodation close to railway station. We used taxi to get to Cascata Marmore but there is a bus.Guest review byCliveMalta - 10.0
We stayed only one night in Terni!
We stayed only one night in Terni! we received a very warm welcome from Anna and recommendations and assistance with local restaurants for our evening meal. Our apartments were very comfortable and had lovely views over the hills. The residence is right beside Collescipole - beautiful old town which we wandered through the next morning. Studio flat is spacious, perfect for a couple, very clean, welcoming and equipped with everything you can possibly need. Beds and pillows are very comfortable. Communication with Annalisa before arrival was quick with easy instructions on how to collect the house keys. La Casa Rosa is 10 minutes walk from train station and a supermarket is very close nearby. Perfect location for town centre too.
