Terni is a wonderful city.
Terni is a wonderful city. In my opinion it's a hidden gem of Italy. It's an easy 1-hour train ride from Rome, and on the way to all the northern Italian cities. Terni Centro has almost no cars, so incredibly walking friendly, full of cafes, gelaterias, and pizza. All, with picture book old Italian architecture. Also, Terni really comes alive after 4pm!

Terni was great as a base.
Terni was great as a base. Good rail connections to Assisi, Spello and Perugia. Nothing much in Terni itself. Try to find accommodation close to railway station. We used taxi to get to Cascata Marmore but there is a bus.

We stayed only one night in Terni!
We stayed only one night in Terni! we received a very warm welcome from Anna and recommendations and assistance with local restaurants for our evening meal. Our apartments were very comfortable and had lovely views over the hills. The residence is right beside Collescipole - beautiful old town which we wandered through the next morning. The Marmone Falls are also well worth a visit. Would highly recommend a stay.

I spent little time in Terni because I visited the famous Marmore Falls (beautiful! Bring a disposable raincoat). Narni is very interesting and deserves a half-day. Also worth visiting is San Gemini: a small medieval gem. Don't miss the Carsulae archaeological park (Roman ruins).

A charming city with good parking.
A charming city with good parking. The surrounding area is beautiful and picturesque, stretching from the Valnerina Valley to Orte (Lazio). Among the attractions is Narni, with its historic buildings and the Nera River, which offers a lovely pedestrian and cycle path along the former Rome-Ancona railway line.

Terni is an unassuming city, but the Marmore Falls and the surrounding area are very beautiful. Umbrian cuisine is excellent, and I, a celiac, was able to enjoy gluten-free focaccia at an AIC-certified cured meats shop in Norcia. Excellent!

This is the ultimate private cottage all to yourself in the most iconic setting and still minutes from town centre, let alone your dream house with most tasteful fit out you ever seen. And the peaceful area with your own very important parking space.
Panoramic views , modern amenities, fantastic heating / cooling, best host the amazing owner Monia and the list goes on. This place made our families holidays and can’t be missed if your in Terni. It’s beautiful and 10/10 in every aspect.

Apartment is well equipped, comfortable, nicely decorated, very welcoming. It's all you could want, and in an absolutely super location. Check in was a breeze, the hosts couldn't have been more helpful with their instructions on getting and returning the keys. Temperature in Terni was in the mid 30s during my stay, so the plug-in cooling unit was much appreciated, particularly because property is an attic apartment, and got quite hot.
