We know the area north of Lucca very well, but this area had a more refined and gentle landscape, with fancy villas, gorgeous landscapes, and great walking trails and tracks. The hotel itself was a beautifully restored Tuscan country house with rooms that looked cozy and brand new. We had a 2 bedroom suite which suited us, daughter and dog perfectly.
