Negril is a great place to be, at the western end of Jamaica where the sunsets are magic. Taxis are easy to find, there is a shopping area with a grocery store, which happened to be across from my hotel. Go to Ivans or Rick's Cafe for sunsets and great dinners. Plenty of restaurants line the famous Seven Mile Beach, alongside plenty of hotels. Negril is two separate experiences, I think. There is the sandy beach and palm tree Negril, and the dramatic cliff-side Negril. Both are worth seeing and the town is small enough to experience both. Do you dare jump off the cliff at Rick's Cafe just for the simple bragging rights? Yes? Then do it! No? well, watching others do so is just as much fun. Negril is the original tourist beach town. I have known it for 50 years. Just go.

    As I stated before.

As I stated before. The restaurants at the Royalton really need some help with staff. Very unfriendly.. tj oh also really should never run out of bananas at the bar. Getting to the resort from the airport was a nightmare. Well over two hours.

Negril is beautiful, though the people have changed it seems. It is apparent that the people no longer own their land, everything is made for tourism. Though the authenticity of the culture has been lost in lieu of everyone trying to gorge tourists for the next buck. I wish the people of the land would remember that there are foreigners that work hard for their money as well. There is no river of flowing dollar bills or trees of $100 branches in the states.

Negril is one of my favorite locations in Jamaica.

Negril is one of my favorite locations in Jamaica. I have been traveling here for over two decades. I love the long stretch of beach for walking, running, and grounding. It is magical to me to connect with the environment and reset my energy. My favorites were: Goa Restaurant for breakfast, Kenny's Italian for dinner and cocktails, Sunset Bar adjacent for Beef/Cheese patties - the best I have experienced!!! Sunset Bar for pizza.

We liked the activities available at the Negril location.

We liked the activities available at the Negril location. We were able to visit Rick’s Cafe in West End and had a great experience. We ate there on the cliffs and swam in their pool overlooking the amazing cliff views. We also did the seven mile beach and relaxed every day. We did a tour for the Appleton Estate Rum distillery that was so fun and historical. Then we had a great time visiting the YS Falls and enjoyed seeing the waterfalls. Our property made it easy for us to have a private driver to get us to different locations.

the sleepy fishing village is long gone what remains is a unique piece of Jamaica that promises a seemingly endless stretch of pristine beach (7 Mile Beach) and cliffs (West End Resorts like Cath a Falling Star)) that provide the perfect jump off for snorkeling. Culinary options like Ivan's, to rival any location, and the same laid back vibe that sleepy fishing has always offered

Villas Sur Mer is a lovely hotel in a wonderful spot in Negril. My one complaint is that we expected we'd be staying in a specific bungalow (the one with the curved roof) and instead we were put in the top floor of a duplex. It was fine, but we'd been really excited about the lovely stand alone bungalow and that's why we booked the place. On the plus side, there as a GORGEOUS waterfront view that you get to through an underground tunnel on the grounds of Villas Sur Mer. Truly magical. We spent a lot of time in that spot.

Hylton enterprise is a lovely property. Its very clean, very spacious and the garden area is well kept. Every morning we had breakfast on the back porch, which had fabulous views of all different trees, stretching right down to the Caribbean ocean. (A beautiful sight) Monica, the land lady, attended to all our needs and requirements and answered any queries that we had about the local area or in Negril as a whole. We even bought some fish from the local market and she fried them for us for breakfast!

Near beach i found this was great. My room was nice and cool clean every 2 days but the window bays behind the long curtains was very dirty and full of black thick moss I found this very uncomfortable due to that i suffer with asthma an my health was at risk staying in the room, I liked the location very quiet on the beach not near all the congestion that Negril can bring.

Samsara offers the best of both worlds - Negrils cliffside snorkeling and Negril's 7 mile beach. Samsara is on the cliffside and their sister motel, Legends is on the beachside. There is a shuttle to take you back and forth. We keep coming back to Samsara for lots of reasons, such as the room views, cleanliness, cliffs, and their very accommodating staff.

Staff is amazing! Shout out to Oshean, Phoenix, Reyanna, and Spotlight. Everyone went out of their way to get to know us during our stay and we felt like they were good friends. The hotel is modern and clean, the restaurants are amazing (especially Rimini), and the reservation system through the app is easy and ideal to use. Highly recommend staying here.

The staff was so nice and accommodating, it really made an impact when we arrived. The room was big and the in-site restaurants are bars are excellent. I was happy to have chosen this hotel as with COVID restrictions everything else is pretty closed. We went to several mainstream attractions and I have to say that the hotel had the best to offer.

Having butlers. Having access to the entire compound. Choices of restaurants. Entertainment was very good, especially Michael Jackson and dancers. The foam party was very good. Beach party was very good. Views from the room. Liked that it was not a high-rise hotel block but only 3 floors. Selection of drinks. Bath in room.
