I booked this hotel based on a travel blog for a last-minute travel plan without much background research . The hotel is the best that anyone could opt for visiting Petra The staff were very friendly even though we checked in the late hours. The rooms were perfectly clean and very well kept . There is a lovely rooftop restaurant with a wonderful view of Wadi Musa .;Breakfast was great, too . The hotel is located 100 metres from the Petra visitor centre, which was a bonus in the morning and especially after the long day of walking and climbing steps in Petra The tour guide organised by the hotel manager for us also did a great job . There is valet parking on site, which also makes things easy when there are young kids and luggage Overall, I felt that the hotel team cared for their guests and did a great job .Thanks to the manager who took good care of our needs .We will definitely come back !!

We're so happy and satisfied with our staying at La Maison Hotel. We arrived early the day we had our booking and we were tired after a long flight so the staff was very helpful to give us our room before the check-in time. The staff were so friendly and they gave us information about tours and activities to do in Petra. It was a hot day when we were in Petra and the staff borrowed us an umbrella. They coordinate transportation from the airport to the hotel (extra cost). In general we had a pleasant time in Petra! We highly recommended La Maison Hotel 😊😊😊😊

2023 update if you wanna travel on your own from Amman (not with an agency), best thing is to stay 1 night in Petra and 1 night in Wadi Rum, travel with JETT buses: - take the 7 am JETT bus from Amman to Wadi Rum, arrive by 10.30 am - walk around Petra the whole day. Bonus points for staying until sunset. - take the JETT bus the next day at 11.30 am to Wadi Rum. Spend the day and watch the sunset, stargaze - chill and do activities around the camp. Take the JETT bus to Amman at 5.00 pm --- If you can, spend 2 nights in Petra. You can take it easier and you can do more hikes and see gorgeous views
Obviously went to Wadi Musa to visit Petra; for me, 1 full day in Petra was enough, but I was there for 14 hours, which can be a lot for most. If you want to take your time a bit more, or aren't too much in shape (there's a lot of hiking up and down), I would suggest 2 full days instead. I don't think there's much else to do in Wadi Musa than Petra really.
It is a place full of history, fascinating, interesting and a friendly, hospitable and kind people. Each place has its own peculiarity and charm: it is difficult to give preference to one place over another. We ate in the structures where we slept, enjoying the company, the food and the superb view and also stopping in local places. It is easy to move around Wadi Musa: I still recommend a car to be independent in travelling.
Petra is one of the wonders of the world, a must see at least once in a lifetime. Take at least 8 hours if you're a fast walker, or 2 days to visit the whole of Petra, going all the way to the Monastery. It's totally worth it.
We had a Jeep tour outside of Wadi Musa the day before which was better than Wadi Musa. There was nothing new to see and the constant stops ( for example to get make up on your face) were too long - our trip was 4 hours - 3 would have been enough
Be aware there is a lot of waking in the Petra even for good hiker, to complete the Petra experiences you will need to wake for 3 to 5 hours one way, which is not a joke. This will be explained to you at the visitor center. But we saw older people doing this trip as well but be aware and have a great journey. It is an amazing experience.
The hotel has very modern rooms and facilities. Every part of the hotel was spotlessly clean. The staff were helpful and welcoming all times. Breakfast had a good selection of local food with tea and coffee available. The free wifi was good and available throughout the hotel. Free parking was very close to the hotel. While the hotel was up a hill from the town, with a car and the free parking both near the hotel and near the entrance to Petra it made for easy visiting to Petra at much less than the hotels down the hill. All up a great stay.
Wadi Musa
The property is a top floor penthouse with 360 views of Wadi Musa, including the entrance to Petra. It is ran by two incredible people who will go to any length to ensure you have the best stay. The food is of a very high quality, bed is very comfortable and the several wifi spots are perfect wherever you are. The place is also spotlessly clean throughout. No doubt this is one of the best hostels/hotels in the whole of Jordan and we would definitely recommend staying here while visiting the area. Thanks again to Hamza and Abdullah.
Wadi Musa
'luxury' Bedouin hospitality. It's located in a more deserted town, 15 min drive from Petra and wadi musa. But right at the beginning of trail from little Petra. There's no reason to go out the place at night since the dinner was good and it than followed with the Bedouin tradition live music around the fire. Since it's far from the city it gives you the feel of a desert with clear beautiful stars and a stunning view. The place is absolutely beautiful and well maintenance!!!!
I stayed in different hotels in many countries, but I did not feel comfortable anywhere like at this hotel. You will feel like you are at home. Mr. Ali is a wonderful person and a very good friend. I definitely recommend you to make your trip better by staying at this hotel. There is very good breakfast and very fast wifi internet. The location is great. Hotel is at the center of wadi musa and 5 minutes to Petra by walk. You can watch Petra and the city from the hotel's terrace.
I adore theme hotels and Valentine Inn Luxury did not disappoint! I prefer the feeling of a family pensione to a stuffy corporate hotel. The rooms were cute and clean, the beds comfortable. The shower was hot and the towels were soft. The dinner was one of the best we had on our trip! They were so kind as to drive us down to the visitor center and pick us up. We had a gorgeous view of the city, and the wifi was great. Whole heartedly recommended for your family!
First of all, when we came to hotel Mohammed welcomed us. Mohammed was our host and he was very polite, he give us a best room, he get up erly the next day just to make brekfast to go just for us. He booked all our trips to Petra and Wadi rum. He and his friends took us to dinner and also to watch the sunset and Petra by night. He made our stay so much better and easier. Great host every reccomendation. Everything is clean, brekfast is good, overall 10/10!
This hostel is a family business and they make you feel part of their family. The room we had (106) was clean, with air conditioner, fridge, private bathroom and TV. The location is perfect since you can get to Petra in just 10 minutes by walk. They arranged for us the bus to Wadi Rum and also helped us to contact someone in the dessert to hire a jeep tour and a camp to stay(great choice). The best place to stay in Wadi Musa if you go in budget!
Very spacious, clean room with extremely comfortable beds. Ideal location in the middle of Wadi Musa close to restaurants for the evening and easy, safe street parking. Short drive to Petra (we had a rental but the hotel offers a shuttle as well). Excellent breakfast from 6am if you want to make the most of the day! Very hospitable hosts who could not have been more helpful. Extremely good value for money.
Wadi Musa
We enjoyed a warm welcome from Naif. Prior to our arrival, I asked Naif about the possibility of including meals and dinner was ready shortly after our arrival. Dinner was delicious and generous and was definitely worth it to be able to relax, enjoy the view over Wadi Musa, and not have to go out. After dinner, he brought a dessert and coffee. It was very nice and I felt very welcomed.
The rooms were basic but comfortable. There are great views over the mountains to Petra from the roof top terrace. Nice breakfast served on the terrace. I also stayed 1 night at their Seven Wonders Bedouin Camp within walking distance of Little Petra which is recommended. They organised a bus to Wadi Rum that picked me up outside the hotel and organised overnight stay in Wadi Rum.
Extremely close to the Petra visitor center. Just a couple of minutes of walking and you are there. The breakfast buffet was excellent and if you want an early start at Petra the staff prepare a breakfast box for you to take with you. The property is clean and staff were excellent. If visiting Petra is your reason to be in Wadi Musa, you can’t go wrong with this hotel.
Location of hotel is very close to entrance of Petra. The staff went above and beyond to ensure we had the best experience. Owners have several hotel in area and upgraded our stay to Petra Moon Hotel with view of Petra. They made the transition easy and added complimentary dinner and breakfast.
Pros - Close proximity to Petra Visitor Centre so we were able to make an early start the following day - Rooms were clean and beds comfortable - Enjoyable buffet dinner. A good variety of food. - One of the few hotels that could accommodate a family of 5.
Small hotels with an amazing location next to Petra entrance. It has been recently renovated so facilities looked new, rooms were large with Aircon and the staff was super helpful (e.g., organized us a sauna after a long day of Petra hiking)
Very good location near the center of Wadi Musa. Beautiful roof top terrace to have breakfast or dinner. The breakfast was good. The room is comfortable. We stayed one night and we enjoyed our stay. Free parking just at the hotel entrance
