Wadi musa is the town of petra, and the town itself has little to offer. Dont plan on wining and dining here, its all about petra. Visit the cave for a drink and a great after petra relaxation, but other tourist amenities will be limited to what you find in your own hotel. Jordan is expensive, you should expect prices 20 to 30 percent higher than usa for everything except restaurants. Not much western here. Petra is amazing and that cant be stated with enough emphasis.
This place is paradise for anybody who enjoys mountain views and arabic culture. It is hot in the days but cooler at night. The people are the friendliest in the world. All prices except hotel prices are negotiable. The locals deserve to be blessed with tips.
Just next to the great historical Petra, Wadi Musa is a town that is populated with bedouin families who are having small businesses around the newfound tourism at Petra. We met some of the most gentle and warm bedouin people, Ahmed and his brother Raahat from La Bella Bedouina, who took care of us like family. We were treated to excellent meals prepared by their family. The accommodation was very comfortable and we just loved it. It is something that would occupy a special place in our memory for a long time. Absolutely would recommend Petra and stay at La Bella Bedouina in Wadi Musa.
Wadi Musa is different than other parts of Jordan. The people were more aggressive in wanting us to buy things. Petra is amazing, but the constant request to buy goods and rides never end. The treatment of the animals ( donkeys, camels and horses) was also concerning.
Great little city with a budding tourism industry. Many nice, inexpensive restaurants. Petra is breathtaking, of course. The Jordanians are amazing — so friendly and hospitable. Just a tip, make sure you get a fair price on taxis and ask the price BEFORE you go. The drivers we had were fair but there are always a few bad apples.
2 days at Petra is perfect. Do some of the short stuff when you first get her like swing the treasury, then spend the entire second day going to the Monastery and High Temple of Sacrifice. A warning though, the hikes are pretty hard so if you aren’t decently fit then I’d only do one hard hike per day. Also, be ready for people to try to sell you something every 10 feet on EVERY trail. If you are smart, and we weren’t, just pretend like they are not there. If seems mean, but if you don’t youll be broke have way in to Petra.

Well located in relation to Petra. The hotel overlooks the entry. The hotel and our room was spotless. We came back to the room a number of times to find food and treats left for us on the bed, which was a nice touch. The staff at the front desk were very helpful and happily arranged the bus to Wadi Rum for us. As the bus was leaving before breakfast commenced, staff were good enough to provide us with two boxes of food to take with us on the bus for breakfast.

Having stayed at more than 8 other hotels in Petra for the past year, I can honestly say that this hotel by far without a shadow of doubt is the best hotel out of all the rest, it has a certain ambience about it that you just don’t find in any other place. The staff are super friendly, food is great, they also have a big TV SCREEN for WC matches..... this will be my only destination to stay at in Petra from now on.

Very good central location in Wadi Musa. It was easy to find and it was easy to checking out and use local mini bus station 5 min on foot to reach Aqaba. It 20min walk from Petra entrance and if you don't mind the walk you won't have any problems. Few food places, bank and exchange offices are near by. Staff is OK. Breakfast is very good and rich.

It is a friendly place where to stay in Wadi Musa and easily visit Petra. The hotel is a budget one, so we did nit expect any special facility...but it has an enormous plus: its staff! Abdalrahman helped us incredibly, supporting us a lot to make the best out of our stay, in particular finding for us a ride back to Amman. Great choice for visiting Petra!

The stuff are so kind and thoughtful. They prepared all things for me, including the breakfast and the bus to wadi rum. The location of the hotel is very easy to walk to petra. Some floor is rebuilding, so I think the hotel will become newer and newer. All in all, I had a nice living experience in Edom hotel.

We can't complain about the price as it was cheap for Wadi Musa. Room was basic. Bathroom definitely needs some work. One staff member seemed to be doing all the work while others seemed to do nothing. He was great even though he couldn't speak English and we can't speak Arabic.
