It is worth a visit, but unfortunately it is touristy. You need a guide to take you around and guides have a set pattern, they aim to take the tourist to select locations with shop and click some pictures. The whole experience of wadi arum is missing. Wadi rum is not Petra.
It was awesome. A lot to do in one day so 1 1/2 was awesome though if you want to climb to the Monestary you may need 2 days depending on you physical limitations. The museum is awesome to see the finds that have been protected and to grasp the size of the find. A guide is awesome though they overload you with dates and info
The town was nice. We came mostly to see Petra but we enjoyed the town too. We ate at the Cave restaurant which was recommended in our guidebook and it didn't disappoint! We ended up going back there a second night for dinner. The okra strew was particularly tasty. Driving around town was relatively straight forwards and there was free parking at the Petra visitor centre which we took advantage of. The town was an ideal place to stay to visit Petra. We stayed at the Petra Plaza hotel and would highly recommend it.
Never go and visit Petra from the back, it is an easy fraud to get your money. We completed the whole tour from the entrance to the monastery and back in 4,5 hours, with stops, drinks, pictures and some souvenir shopping. Caddys are way too expensive. Camels also. The ridings are not included even though they say it is. Stray dogs are everywhere. Stray people looking for your money by showing you what you have already seen for high price. Blocking your way, ask for money what would be included... The closer you are to the monastery or the entry the more expensive it is. If you do not buy at least 6 magnets for 1JOD, you are fooled. Bargain... always. Do not let them push you into any program. It will not be good for you, only for them. Apart from these :D it is an amazing place you should definitely visit at least once in a lifetime.
We spent 3 nights and 2 days in Wadi Musa which is about the right length of time in which to see Petra. Our guide took us via the "back door" route to get to the Monastery. I'd highly recommend this route as it was a lovely walk and less strenuous than the path from Petra Central. Little Petra is a lovely look at a mini version of its big sister, Petra. It takes less than an hour and is a lovely way to experience what Petra would have felt like before the crowds arrived.
It was a great place to visit. Beautiful sights. It is a longer program than I expected. The whole tour is over 16 km long, it took us 6 hours to walk with taking photos. It is good that there are alternative ways to walking eg. horse ride, camel ride, donkey ride even some microbuses. There are too many sellers and too many locals offering their services which is disturbing, but they are not agressive or threatening. After all it was a great experience.
We just got back from out stay at the Seven Wonders hotel as part of a trip to Jordan. We went not expecting much from the reviews here but got an amazing deal from booking.com so thought we would try it as the hotels in Bath can be a bit pricey. They must have renovated the rooms since the other reviewers stayed because our room looked great! Just the same as any chain hotel - very clean, large bed and shower, wardrobe and TV. The breakfast was massive! Huge and geat value for money. Seven Wonders Hotel was great and I would stay again!
I stayed in different hotels in many countries, but I did not feel comfortable anywhere like at this hotel. You will feel like you are at home. Mr. Ali is a wonderful person and a very good friend. I definitely recommend you to make your trip better by staying at this hotel. There is very good breakfast and very fast wifi internet. The location is great. Hotel is at the center of wadi musa and 5 minutes to Petra by walk. You can watch Petra and the city from the hotel's terrace.
Very clean, comfortable rooms. Very kind staff. Good breakfasts, served from the early morning hours (6.30 a.m.) so that after breakfast, tourists can go sightseeing in Petra in the morning (important due to the heat that prevails later). A comfortable hotel, perfectly suited to the needs of tourists. Perfect hotel as a base for Petra and Wadi Musa. Nearby lots of shops and restaurants. I sincerely and highly recommend Beit Albarakah Restaurant.
The room and the breakfast was so nice ! Mohannad Nawafleh (jaguar) help us for our car problem, he bring us to Petra with all the information we need. He was always very nice, welpcoming and helpful Thank you to honor Ogla Nawafleh to bring Mohannad to work to the Luxury Petra Moon hotel. Thanks to him, our stay was perfect ! I really recommend to stay at the Petra Moon hotel if you want to visit Petra.

The owner of this hotel is the sweetest man. He helped me out so much when I was ill. He also loves to give you all the advice for your trip to Petra. He told me a lot about his culture And I really enjoyed talking to him. The hotel has a beautiful view over wadi musa and the dunner is so good!! I really enjoyed my stay and hope to come back in the future.
The owner pays attention to small things。I have stayed in many hotels, and this is the first time I saw that the hotel provided umbrellas and hiking cane for free。clean room and great breakfast 。many restaurants near by。good value 。hope the owner can manage this hotel in a sustainable manner! 這間飯店非常推薦!沒有什麼可以挑剔的!

The hotel is located just a few minutes walking by the main entrance to Petra. Also is close to Wadi Musa central area where you could enjoy wonderful meals in some of the local restaurants. The breakfast was more than good.
Excellent value for money and wonderfully attentive staff with warm hospitality. Compared to some pricier hotels I've stayed at closer to the Petra site entrance, Town Season Hotel beats on both price and service!
Very friendly staff, they give us the room even if we arrived very early in the morning. The staff takes you to Petra and return for free. The hotel is in the very center of wadi musa.
3 minutes to Petra entrance, very accommodating and friendly staff, dinner and breakfast with an amazing view of Wadi Musa! Very comfy bed! Everything we needed for our visit :)
The location of the hotel is good in the center of Wadi Musa, lots of good Jordanian restaurants located here. However, it is quite far from Petra, if you do not have a car.
