Hotel in Wadi Musa
Located in Wadi Musa, a 13-minute walk from Petra, Petra Plaza Hotel provides accommodations with a garden, free private parking, a shared lounge and a terrace. We would highly recommend the Petra Plaza Hotel as a place to stay when visiting Petra. The reception staff and owner are super friendly and helpful with advice regarding times to visit Petra and nearby places to eat. Welcome drinks on arrival and upon returning from a long day of walking in Petra were gratefully received. Our room was compact but more than adequate for our family group of three. There were lovely complementary treats put out each day (fruit and other snack foods) that helped make the stay even more special. Breakfast was more than adequate with lots of selection. We would happily stay here again.

Just 100 yards from the entrance gate to Petra, this hotel features spacious rooms with flat-screen TVs. It also has a roof garden with a seasonal outdoor pool. Our friends recommended this hotel, and we are so thankful! Location was absolutely perfect - across the street from the main entrance to Petra. Plus the stuff, especially, Ihib, was very helpful with their recommendations - saved us a lot of time to get to the Monastery by using a different entrance. Hotel breakfast was plentiful, with some Mickey mouse pancakes for my daughter, who is 13 and found it super funny, but enjoyed never the less. We also loved and appreciated the existence of a family room - a lot of hotels in Jordan could only accommodate us in two separate rooms. Overall, great stay, highly recommend!

Be aware there is a lot of waking in the Petra even for good hiker, to complete the Petra experiences you will need to wake for 3 to 5 hours one way, which is not a joke. This will be explained to you at the visitor center. But we saw older people doing this trip as well but be aware and have a great journey. It is an amazing experience.
The hotel location was excellent but the whole town is run-down, filthy, unfinished buildings and vultures at every turn. The only way to really get around is by hiring your own car. Everything is ridiculously expensive and you feel like you are constantly being ripped off. The Petra museum (which is free) was one of the best aspects. The CAVE bar is good for a burger and a beer (USD10/pint). There are only four bars in the town and the other three are in Western Hotels. The local 'restaurants' on Tourism Street are dreadful - filthy, unhygienic and overpriced.
When you think about Petra, you think about the treasure façade and that's it. It is soooo much more that that...I would add that the most scenic things we saw where quite far form the entrance. We had 2 long days trecking for 10 hours. It is in fact a huge complex with still some Beduins living in the old caves of Petra (if you are able to walk the longer trecks)
PETRA is and always will be such a magnificent place that no other place on earth is similar to it. You have to be careful and picky about food in Wadi Musa, don't do walk-ins, always research and restaurant/cafe before going. Be ready for cold nights even during hot summer days... from there, visit Little Petra, a 15 minute drive. It is different and also worth a visit. More expensive hotels and B&Bs does not necessarily mean better places. Always when looking for a place to stay at in Jordan that is not a 4 star, check the cleanliness rating. Drinking Beduin tea, Arabic coffee, and Turkish coffee is a must when in Jordan.
Wonderful stay. Will definitely come back to explore more of Petra. Wish I had realised it was so expansive before I went as I would have loved to have seen more. We trekked for 5 hours and saw most of the main sites, but still not everything and we were losing energy by that point, so another day would have been good.
It was fascinating but don't make the mistake we did. We were advised to go via the back door which we needed to pay JOD 25 for. Told it was shorter walk but this was rubbish. Go the regular way in.
The location was excellent, with such a lovely view down into Wadi Musa and Petra from the balcony of our room and the hotel terrace. Our room was beautifully furnished and had much more character than other places we looked at, and we enjoyed watching sunset from our balcony. Dinner was excellent - huge portions of maqloubeh served on the terrace followed by fresh watermelon. Breakfast was also great and very filling, and kindly served for us at 6am so we could get into Petra early. The staff were friendly and the hotel was really peaceful.
It is noticeable the care of all the staff and the attention of the owner Ali that your stay is excellent. The room is very comfortable with all amenities, great breakfast and they even transport me to Petra Visitor Centre. It has a feeling of luxury without being pretentious and rather small to feel almost like home. Very well managed hotel and I hope better days will come for the tourism sector in Wadi Musa, which is suffering like all the world the effects of corona and consequent lack of tourists.
The location was good only 400m to main entrance of Petra, the reception was very nice, the manager was very kind also, because we stay in petra moon hotel for the fourth times then the manager gave us the discount for the dinner. the staff in the restaurant was very helpful, he served us some tea, and we didn't took it because the tea with sugar, then he came again with tea without sugar even thought we didn't ask for it. overall we love this hotel
Wadi Musa
The location is great. If you come to Wadi Musa to explore Petra, this place is only 5-10 minutes by foot from the main entrance, so perfect to be there early in the morning before the crowd arrive. Good value for money as most hotels in this area of the town are expensive. The breakfast is very simple and it was brought to thw room on time.
Wadi Musa
Nomads hotel is more a hostel than a hotel, in good and bad: there is a nice young vibe, the guys at the receptions are very friendly, there is a common kitchen and some common spaces where you can relax. The position is very good to visit Petra, a little far from donwtown (but that is the price, of course)
Wadi Musa
The staff was incredibly kind and accommodating. They made a wonderful dinner for us and also a nice breakfast. The room was very spacious for a family of six and the value cannot be beat. I ALWAYS stay at Marriott hotels, but this was 85% cheaper, so I couldn't pass it up.
Good hotel in central Wadi Musa. Parking is easy enough on the street and there are plenty of eating options nearby. Wifi was decent and the air conditioning strong. Only a short drive to Petra where you can also park for free just outside the main gate.
We booked last minute after a cancelled room. It fit the bill for what we needed. It provided a clean room with breakfast. The host was torn between two hotels, but still managed to give us recommendations for dining and shopping etc.
The hotels location is good, the staff is amazing. Extremely cheerful and pleasant. They go an extra mile to make you feel hospitable. The rooms are clean. If you’re looking for a good, comfortable stay in petra, this is it.
Great location, closest hotel to Petra in the whole Wadi Musa! I had a mobility issue and they gave me a room with elevator access (thank you!). Good drinks and food at bar. Efficient check-in.
The hotel it’s being renewed, and it’s looking amazing. The manager is the best host. He was very helpful with tips and things to do.
