Located in Akaigawa, 6 km from Kiroro Ski Resort, The Yurts at Hopi Hills Farm, Kiroro offers free WiFi in Mongolian yurts (tents). It's a little backcountry skiing paradise. The yurts were comfy, the lodge was cozy, the staff were amazing, and the animals were adorable! Best accommodation we had in Hokkaido. Loved every minute of it.
This remote Ski-resort area was perfect for our family who already knows how to ski. We just wanted to spend time together. The choices of places to eat are limited and pricey, but that's to be expected when you are up on a mountain resort. Make it a point to visit Otaru canal if you have time to spare before or after your stay since it's a nice break from skiing and has lots of good affordable sushi and musubis! (onigiri). Do your souvenir shopping down there, too.
so much fun so many things to do. people were helpful and friendly it was super easy to get around with bu service (FOC) PERFECT! Food was just OK nothing too special everything was right on PAR! Next time I probably want to stay longer just to enjoy the view and the city.
The scenery around Akaigawa is fantastic with snow being the significant backdrop. The towns we drove through on our way to the hotel looked beautiful particularly when fresh snow had fallen. Its a magical area to be in especially in December when you get that Christmas feeling early. Would visit here again for sure!!
The snow was really powdery. Weather was not good, cloudy and windy causing all the lifts to be closed on one day. It was mentioned by some visitors that the sun has not been frequent during the current season
Excellent with the exception of the buffet dinner I had to pay for the first night. Poor But the 2nd night I chose to eat in the other Restraunt/bar and had a very romantic evening It was an enjoyable experience
I'm there for my annual ski holiday and always have great experience in Kiroro Resort because of the fantastic powder snow there and good hot spring. The food is generally good in Piano Hotel, except the buffet restaurant which is run by Tribute.

Hotel has been nicely refurbished - rooms are spacious and clean. Bed is comfortable. Bathroom are somewhat old but acceptable. Ski Center and locker rooms are decent. There aren’t that many restaurents and facilities in Sheraton itself but you can get to the sister hotel by shuttle bus easily. Breakfast is great.
