Boasting a rooftop terrace with panoramic views of Mount Fuji and Lake Kawaguchi, HAOSTAY is located in Fujikawaguchiko, 1 mi from Lake Kawaguchi. The rooms are clean and feel very spacious. The ensuite toilet is also very clean. The rooftop view and setup is fantastic. They even have a small telescope. The breakfast was splendid (Japanese style). They have a nice eco friendly policy when it comes to house keeping (cleaning every fourth day and fresh towels only if you need them). They give two bottles of water from your second day onwards in exchange of the house keeping.

We few family together went from Yokohama to Fujikawaguchiko by Cars during three days holiday at end of November. Main intention was to enjoy Autumn color. Due to Corona virus spred fear, most of the people were travelling by Car instead of public transport. Traffic Jam was horrible. 4 hours drive become 8 hours long. Our travel and sighseeing schedule become jeopardized for Traffic Jam. But weather was great and not much cold during day time.
There is a lot to see and do around the Kawaguchiko area. Lots of camping sites too. Some places are quieter than the others, so keep looking till you find the one that's just right for you. Lots of beautiful places for BBQ (permission is required). We visited an amazing place called "Iyashino Sato Nemba"--a must visit on a sunny day, if you want to get the postcard view of Mt. Fuji. We had soba lunch there at one of the restaurants and it was amazing!
Beautiful views of Mt. Fuji - the one from the lavender park was especially beautiful. The town is surrounded by hills, utterly green and peaceful with lots to explore on a bike. For food, I'd recommend Fuji Tempura. It also has vegan options. Unfortunately, FujiQ was closed to visitors but hope I can check it out next time ^^
A beautiful little town with lots to do and experience The Mt Fuji Panoramic Ropeway, the Music Forest Museum and the Fujimurosengen Shrine overlooking the lake were just fabulous - they all need to be listed in the popular attractions Easy to get around using public transport - or just walk - things a relatively close
Fuji Kawaguchiko is great for hiking and camping. You can visit all 4 lakes with a 2-day hike, there is a trail that goes through several mountain tops and visits all lakes. I highly recommend that. We went in March so there weren't many tourists, but in summer it must be crowded. Better choose nature and stay away from the crowds, the experience is worth it!
3 days in February gave great views of fuji. The Music museum was great, especially since it was free that day. Enjoyed a short professional opera and large music boxes hundreds of years old being played. Fujiten ski resort was a highlight of the trip, even though i paid more than 100 dollars to taxi there and back. I think there's a shuttle bus but i only heard about it later.
Fujikawaguchiko
We stayed at Weekend Shuffle during Typhoon Hagibis. From the moment we arrived (the night before the Typhoon was set to hit Japan) we felt at ease in the care of Teppei. The accommodation was warm, inviting and comfortable, and the breakfasts provided were ample and delicious. But what really made our stay outstanding was the amount of effort Teppei put into keeping us comfortable and entertained when the Typhoon hit and everything was closed for safety! He took us to the supermarket and pharmacy for provisions, and put movies on when the worst of the Typhoon was happening. The morning after the skies were clear and there was Mt Fuji clear from our bedroom window! Teppei took us to amazing view points of Mt Fuji and helped us sort of transport back to Tokyo when a lot of trains and busses were cancelled. Teppei went above and beyond, and we know that this would have been the case even with out the Typhoon! We encourage everyone to stay here, and we hope to come back one day! Thank you Teppei and Weekend Shuffle!
The staff were very friendly, helpful and kind and we're very attentive at explaining the facilities and room. The room is remarkable with an amazing view of Fujisan! The facilities were clean and the onsen was relaxing. Dinner and breakfast were provided omakaze style, and were very intriguing and surprisingly delicious for a first timer. All in all our stay at Fufukawaguchiko and the exploration of the surrounding areas provided some of the best memories from our trip to Japan. A nice getaway from the hustle and bustle of the big city.
Fujikawaguchiko
The fabulous Mt Fuji View which we enjoyed from our cottage with balcony and in the onsen! The cottage was extremely clean, spacious and comfortable. The kitchen , bath, loft, 2 toilets made our stay convenient. Most of all, the service was fast, efficient and personal. We had a problem with an ATM in Lawson and one of the staff, very friendly and helpful, Huwei ( excellent English) drove us to Lawson and communicate with the non-English speaking staff there. Issue was resolved.
The owners were so accommodating and helpful! They went out of their way to drive us to the pagoda when the car to the station was too full. The food was excellent, and the view of Mount Fuji was the absolute best part! We had the perfect view from our room and saw a beautiful sunrise. We rented the onsen both nights we were there and it was clean and relaxing. The whole experience was a dream! Highly recommend!
Fujikawaguchiko
They have a panorama room to sit down to watch the Mt. Fuji and the lake outside. It is quiet and peaceful to see the cloud come and go around the Mt. Fuji. We took a walk around the hotel, the lake is few minutes away, the autumn color is so nicely scattered on the road that feel like walking in a painting. The counter staff is an old fashioned gentleman that explains everything patiently in detail.
Fujikawaguchiko
Everything about it! 2 type of bedroom which is western style and Japanese style. I love the tatami! They have 2 type of Onsen, public onsen and private onsen! Love the private onsen, I have spend at least 3-4 time per day for the private onsen! The owner of the villa, Hiro-san and his staffs is very friendly and is ready to help you whenever you need.
The staff are very friendly. They let us check in early. The location is very near from Kawaguchiko Station (you only need to cross the road from station and you can find the hotel nearby). Everything was excellent: comfortable Japanese room, best spot for viewing Fuji-san in the whole 5-lake region, delicious kaiseki meals with great variety, proximity to lake, walking trails and amazing Aokigahara Jukai forest, outdoor onsen with Fuji-san. Very good value for money! 7 buses per day from Kawaguchiko station.

The concept and design of the building are amazing and super functional while being very pretty, the view of Fuji was amazing. The facilities were also great catering to all kinds of people with public baths, private and in room baths offered, with great extras like the free ice candy and ramen. We loved it
