Mitsui Garden Gion is in a very good location. I liked its simple yet stylish interiors. The bedroom and its bathroom is a good size. The public bath at the top floor is a bonus; the heated pool is indeed a treat after walking the whole day. Knowing there’s a washer dryer helped me pack light. The breakfast buffet is excellent!

The hotel is right outside hakata station. It is modern with amazingly large rooms with king size bed. The breakfast offers both western and Japanese food. The bath house is perfect after a long day tour. The outside pool is also warm water, so u can enjoy the stars without any fear of cold. We stayed for 2 day when we first landed from HK. We also stayed the night before departure. If u stay for multiple days, u may not want to select the breakfast included as the set menu does not change. You can still pay on daily basis when u check in. Highly recommended and will use it again for our next visit.

Very nice city, friendly people, excellent tranport accomodation fascilities eg bus , mrt, taxi (apps taxi). Great place for holiday, enjoy the foods and event eith groceries store. We alao enjoy the sukiya, food street at the station.
A lovely city with everything you want: culture (old and new), shires and temples, great food, great weather, dazzling shopping malls and arcades, and quiet narrow streets to escape in. And best of all, not too many tourists! We mainly used the trains and our feet to get around, with the occasional bus. We visited the main attractions which were great, and I would definitely recommend spending 5 days to a week in this lovely city!
The highlight of my one day trip was undoubtedly the local cuisine. Fukuoka is renowned for its ramen, and rightly so. The rich, savory broth paired with perfectly cooked noodles was a culinary revelation. For anyone visiting the city, indulging in a bowl of authentic Fukuoka ramen is an absolute must. The flavors are robust, the ingredients fresh, and the experience unforgettable. After a hearty meal, a visit to the beach was the perfect way to relax and digest. The beaches in Fukuoka are serene and offer a peaceful respite from the city's hustle and bustle. The gentle lapping of the waves and the panoramic views of the horizon are a treat for the senses. It's a spot where one can truly appreciate the beauty of nature and the simplicity of life. However, while Fukuoka boasts a rich culinary scene and beautiful beaches, it does fall a tad short when it comes to diverse sightseeing spots, especially when compared to some of the other iconic cities in Japan. While the city has its own charm and a distinct character, those looking for a wide variety of historical and cultural attractions might find it a bit lacking. I think Fukuoka is a delightful destination for food enthusiasts, shopping and a beach experience close to the city. While it might not offer the extensive sightseeing opportunities of cities like Kyoto or Tokyo, it has its own unique charm that makes it worth a visit. If you're in the mood for some delectable ramen followed by a relaxing day at the beach, Fukuoka should definitely be on your itinerary.
If you like sightseeing from a lighthouse, Hakata Port Tower is a nice place to go. Besides, Fukuoka is a must-go place for gundam avid fans, they sell a special gunpla that is only sold in Lalaport Fukuoka. Also, there is the tallest gundam statue in the world right in front of the mall. Tonkotsu ramen is a must-try cuisine, as it originates from Fukuoka. Hakata Issou is my recommended ramen restaurant if you want a food adventure. The smell and the taste are so unique.
It was easy to get around Fuluoka and the people there are very helpful. Food was good and affordable. We enjoyed going around Hakata station where there are so many choices of food and souvenirs. Also Tenjin has so many shopping areas. There are so many places to go around. Like the Canal City, Ohori Park, Fukuoka Tower. Transportation is convenient like when we went to see the Reclining Budhha in Nanzoin, Beppu, Dazaifu and Yufuin.
Fantastic place to visit. Plenty of shopping, restaurants, cafes, and historical sites. There are also festivals throughout the year. It's smaller and more relaxed than Tokyo or Osaka but still tons of interesting things to offer. My favorite area of Japan!
I was able to stay at a very reasonable price in my case. Convenience stores, supermarkets, and the train station are all within walking distance. It takes about 25 minutes to Fukuoka Airport by train. (Transfer to subway at Hakata). You can use the hot spring and sauna in the annex building for free, not in the hotel. Considering the price and location, I would use this hotel again when using Fukuoka Airport instead of the Hakata and Tenjin area. The staff was also very helpful.
The hotel was beautiful. The room size was comfortable. Beds, although twins, were comfortable and good size for Americans. The staff was so friendly and was able to get reservations for us as I believe there was a language barrier when making reservations directly through the restaurant. The location of the hotel is directly across from the mall and Anpanman. The city is in walking distance, and airport is about 20-15 minute cab ride.
Near by Tenjin and Nakasu area. You will enjoy this area if you are looking for drinking and night life. However, I don't think it is ok for family with children. It is a very typical business hotel in Japan, everything is clean and functional, but just small (it is Japan!) The room is quiet, but with no view at all. If you want to base in Hakata and traveling around Kyushu, the ideal location for hotel should be JR Hakata station.
I loved the location. Its very close to Hakata Station which is very accessible from the airport, going to Daizaifu, Tenjin, Canal City and Marinoa City. There also many great restaurants nearby. The hotel has some brochures of recommendations places to eat. Also if you're going to Cat Island, you can take the train, bus and ferry. Just be cautious of the ferry times. There's only about 5 trips a day.
Fukuoka
I think it's the best hostel I have ever stayed in my entire life as a traveller. It's super clean,it has everything you need:great Wi-Fi, balcony, kitchen, dishwasher, tech toilet, separated sink and shower. The Korean lady(manager) is super kind and lovely. She really is the main attraction of the hostel! Will definitely come back if I will ever be back in Fukuoka city.
I think the location was okay but you have to decided which transport you want to use every day, If subway is your choice it's take about 10 min to walk ( a bit far for me) but if bus it will take 5 min to walk to the bus station near the hotel. Others beside location, facilities was good but room quite small compare with price rate on other city in japan.
Absolutely bonkers view of Fukuoka, with a great location that's easy to get to from Hakata station. Beds were incredibly comfy, air conditioning with a spacious room and bathroom, just an all around amazing hotel. A touch pricier than other possible hotels,, but easily well worth the price point. Highly recommended!
This is a gorgeous hotel. The beds are comfy, not as hard as most beds in Japan. The room has dimmer lights, a nice view of the city, and a nice deep bath. There are no public baths. On weekdays, there is a free shuttle service to the train station and airport. The breakfast is very good and reasonably priced.
Fukuoka
Looks like an ordinary Japanese Appartement. Don’t forget to turn on the hot water machine. The room itself is exactly the same as the pictures. The location is super good! It’s only 5 minutes walk to the Fukuoka domestic airport, car rental area and subway. And the blanket itself was very thick and comfortable.
Really good location, less than 10 mins from the Hakata station with a few shrines nearby. The breakfast was good, mostly Japanese style. I was able to leave my luggage at the hotel before and after the check in/out. The Ladies' lounge was a nice touch and the bathtub was good-sized and really lovely.
I love the location; very close to everything, easy access from the airport as well. The room was spacious and the amenities were great. The hotel looked new, clean and the staff was very helpful and nice; they spoke English as well, so that helped a lot. Also, great for solo travelers, very safe.
Lovely location in Fukuoka and the facilities at the hotel are great! They've even got a currency conversion machine in the lobby so you don't have to hassle or worry about going to an exchange!! Lovely staff and the hotel room was always kept cleaned to a great standard.
It was close to the airport, but I arrived at night and with a big luggage it may be little too far to walk. Next morning I took a bus to Hakata train station. The bus stop was just around the corner. Nice big bath near the front desk which was better than other business hotels.
- very central, very close to the next underground station, walking distance to Hakata & Tenjin, many restaurants and shops around - very helpful and friendly personal - superior room was big for a city hotel and perfect with a little child - huge breakfast buffet
Convenient location; close to stores, restaurants and close enough to Fukuoka and Tenjin Stations. Room was comfy for one person and staff were good, especially the cleaning staff. Hotel lobby had nice ambience.
Fukuoka
The hotel is in a good location, a 10 minute walk to Hakata Station, to main train and subway station in Fukuoka. it is also close to the Old Town and Canal City. The rooms were clean and efficiently laid out.
Location... Close to subway from airport... Hakata/Canal City has many attractions and plenty of dinning options within walking distance... Hotel Breakfast at Yayoi-oken is great value...
this is my second time staying at the resort! the hotel staffs were super friendly and helpful. we love it and will be back again if we visit Fukuoka
Love the location, near the subway station and shopping mall, i will stay in the same hotel again if i visit fukuoka.
Location is good only 5 mins to Fukuoka Airport
