Wanted to try something different this time around.
Wanted to try something different this time around. Quite a lot to see but not too dissimilar to other Japanese cities. Ohori park was really nice and I highly recommend, Caught the ferry to the Sakurajima volcano in Kagoshima which was nice. Still prefer Kyoto, Kobe, Osaka over Fukuoka.

The Nakatsu area was convenient to subway and vivid nightlife. Since our stay was mainly to attend the Hawks baseball games, we were limited on available time. The location was within 20 minutes of the Pay Pay Dome.

Totally different vibes from Tokyo, osaka and kyoto. More green. It definitely worth the visit. Highly recommended to self drive to be able to see so much more.(google map) Less crowded than other major cities in Japan. Less English speaking staff though.

Our first trip to Japan we arrived via JR Beatle ferries so it was very convenient for an onward bus trip to Nagasaki. There is a good metro system and lots to see and do but it’s not too touristy there is an amazing roof garden on the top of Hakata station which is a perfect oasis to sit if you have a long wait and where there are views all over the city!

Great place for delicious Japanese food and shopping.
Great place for delicious Japanese food and shopping. It was easy to get around with the trains, shinkansen and buses as well. I felt it wasn't as touristy as Tokyo and Osaka and the city just had a nice vibe to it. I really enjoyed my stay there.

Fukuoka is a very nice place to visit.
Fukuoka is a very nice place to visit. We came end May and the weather was fine, around 20 - 24 C, cooler at night. The passenger transportation system is excellent, using IC card which can be stored in your mobile phone. Every where was clean, the locals were friendly, courteous and disciplined, where the pedestrian is always given priority. Although the city has its attractions of old (shrines, temples, etc) and new, the other cities in Kyushu island like Kumamoto, Beppu and Yufuin also have their unique attractions and food. Japan Rail pass is a convenient and economic way to travel by train to these and other destinations. Also try to take the short ferry rides to nearby islands / parks. We used equal amounts of cash and credit card payment. Will return for more in future
The location is really fantastic! Around 5-10 minutes walk from Hakata station depending on your speed. Best if you choose Fukuoka as the main hub then traveling the nearby areas by JR Kansai part. The room is typically a Japanese business hotel. Satisfied as it should be. They provide free snacks from afternoon till evening. I have tried the donut and it's really great!
The location is in between of Tenjin station (Fukuoka City Subway) and Nishitetsu Fukuoka (Tenjin) Station. The place is easy to walk to this two station to go to other place for travelling. In the same time, we can easily shop and find a good restaurant in Tenjin area (most of the place is walking distance). And the hotel is in a quiet place and good to stay.
Very satisfied from beginning while booking, staff very active communication and make sure provide what i need when arrived. The room quite big enough for 3 with compact kitchen and bathroom. The bed also comfy, best balcony, great location near Hakata Station main road not hard to find. Will be back if visit Fukuoka
The location is great, around 10 min walk from Hakata main station. Their beds are very comfortable, and the size is not bad for 3 pax, considering it's in Japan. However, the staff collect a Hakata city tax, which doesn't apply to hotels in other cities. Their breakfast is also good.
