Honestly pretty perfect hotel considering price/value. Really comfy, lots of space, everything looking clean and brand new in the room. Great design and the lobby has some hidden perks such as a couch with a beautiful overwatch of Kumamoto. Really 10/10 but..

    Kumamoto city - not much to see.

    Kumamoto city - not much to see. Aso area - nicer - with views, countryside and waterfalls. Accessible only by car so suggest self drive. Treat places like US where you need to drive everywhere to get stuffs. I don't put photos because need to convert to jpg.

    Other than the castle area, there isn't much to see in Kumamoto itself. But if you enjoy nature, the city is a pretty good jumping off point for visiting areas such as the Aso caldera and the Takachiho Gorge area.

Finding the bus station and getting bus info was a pain... the bus office is in the mall upstairs and the mall entrance has NO indication that it continues the bus office...we walked around for ages to locate it .

    1. Everything is great about this hotel, except for the breakfast which do not have many varieties. A few food items were consumed and they were not refilled. 2. Other than breakfast, this is a great hotel to stay, near train station, shopping, etc. 3. Perfect place for those honeymooners.

    Kumamoto is the home of the wonderful and renowned castle and the gateway to the incredible surrounding rural areas with the caldera, Aso town and the volcano. Beautiful area that I wish to return to.

    Beautiful hotel overall, from reception to the rooms, everything was well designed. Super clean, shower head pressure was amazing even though the head itself was small.     The location of the hotel was near the shopping streets and the bus terminal. It took 5~10 minutes to go to the Kumamoto castle and the JOSAIEN, which was a shopping district. The self-service lockers were also convenient for us after check-out.
