Honestly pretty perfect hotel considering price/value. Really comfy, lots of space, everything looking clean and brand new in the room. Great design and the lobby has some hidden perks such as a couch with a beautiful overwatch of Kumamoto. Really 10/10 but..

    Kumamoto city - not much to see.

    Kumamoto city - not much to see. Aso area - nicer - with views, countryside and waterfalls. Accessible only by car so suggest self drive. Treat places like US where you need to drive everywhere to get stuffs. I don't put photos because need to convert to jpg.

    Other than the castle area, there isn't much to see in...

    Other than the castle area, there isn't much to see in Kumamoto itself. But if you enjoy nature, the city is a pretty good jumping off point for visiting areas such as the Aso caldera and the Takachiho Gorge area.

    people unfriendly, better in other cities (and I have traveled to japan over 25 years plus lived in Osaka). Finding the bus station and getting bus info was a pain... the bus office is in the mall upstairs and the mall entrance has NO indication that it continues the bus office...we walked around for ages to locate it .

    1. Everything is great about this hotel, except for the breakfast which do not have many varieties. A few food items were consumed and they were not refilled. 2. Other than breakfast, this is a great hotel to stay, near train station, shopping, etc. 3. Perfect place for those honeymooners.

    Kumamoto is the home of the wonderful and renowned castle and the gateway to the incredible surrounding rural areas with the caldera, Aso town and the volcano. Beautiful area that I wish to return to.

The bathroom is separated from the toilet. The bathtub is very large and air conditioner can work in winter -- being different from most hotels in Japan. All necessary amenties are provided. The breakfast is superb with various Japanese-style chioces. Staffs are English-speaking, friendly, and supportive.

    Hotel location is very convenient close to everything; easy walking distance to Kumamoto Castle (our room has nice view of the castle), and the shopping street is just nearby ; very nice neighborhood with cafes, boutique shops , nice restaurants. Spacious room, very nice and helpful staff; room cleaning is efficient and neat. Breakfast offers traditional Japanese set or western style good value for money. Overall cozy stay for our family!

    This hotel is placed very close to the Shimotori shopping arcade, making it a very nice central location for shopping at the end of every day. Additionally, the Kumamoto Castle is not too far either. Room was clean, and I had a good rest.
