The hotel seems new. the room was incredible and we had

I came for the One Piece statues but I honestly loved the entire vibe of Kumamoto. The transit system was easier to navigate than I expected, and locals were very nice in offering to take pictures of us at the statues! I was also really impressed with the Kumamoto revival project details and how they specifically placed the crew members in places that needed aid but were relevant to the character. As we traveled to each statue, I was amazed at how gorgeous Kumamoto was, like a scene out of a Studio Ghibli movie. It was magical and I wished I had planned to stay longer since I couldn't see all the statues.

Yuhoen Fruit Farm to enjoy fruit picking and unlimited serving of fruits picked within an hour. There were Hosui pears, Kyoho and Fuji Minori grapes. Great experience!
Kumamoto castle is a must visit as well as to savour horse sashimi.

Aso area - nicer - with views, countryside and waterfalls.
Accessible only by car so suggest self drive.
Treat places like US where you need to drive everywhere to get stuffs.
I don't put photos because need to convert to jpg.

Other than the castle area, there isn't much to see in Kumamoto itself. But if you enjoy nature, the city is a pretty good jumping off point for visiting areas such as the Aso caldera and the Takachiho Gorge area.

Finding the bus station and getting bus info was a pain... the bus office is in the mall upstairs and the mall entrance has NO indication that it continues the bus office...we walked around for ages to locate it .

1. Everything is great about this hotel, except for the breakfast which do not have many varieties. A few food items were consumed and they were not refilled.
2. Other than breakfast, this is a great hotel to stay, near train station, shopping, etc.

I really appreciate the warmth of the hotel's reception staff and the cleanliness of the rooms maintained by the housekeeping staff. My stay here was comfortable and reassuring.
The location is very convenient, being close to shopping streets, Kumamoto Castle, and other attractions.
The temporary luggage storage service was also very helpful, allowing us to travel without cumbersome luggage. Thank you so much.
I would consider staying here again when I visit Kumamoto in the future.🙂

Had a wonderful view across to Kumamoto Castle, and well located close to the shopping street and a good base as well to explore the larger part of Kumamoto. The staff were always attentive and helpful and always did their best to give us recommendations, and welcome us when we came back to the hotel, which was very welcoming.
