The owner went all out to give me a enjoyable stay ! He picked me up from Hakuba and delivered me back the next morning, showing me the sights along the way. The views from the hotel are breathtaking and the sauna and hot bath are just a bonus. Breakfast was delicious ! Definitely worth a visit ! Highly reccommended !

Love the atmosphere of the hotel. The staff also friendly and easy to deal with. We requested for late check-in during check in due to late arrival (heavy snow) and the staff are willing to wait for our arrival. Will come back to this hotel in future!

“I stayed at Yamabo House for four nights while visiting my dad nearby. Noriko and Francois were wonderful hosts and have poured so much love into the restoration of this historic kominka. Private. Good parking right next to cabin. Staff was wonderful and very patient with our four noisy children. Food was good. Onsen was fine. Included with cabin. Cute gift shop area with local goods including omiyage. Heat worked well. Everything very tidy. Price was excellent. Nice tatami room.

The property is well located, clean, equipped with a beautiful onsen, interesting restaurant with traditional Japanese style cuisine and wonderful views of the mountains. However, above all else, the Tokyo has an amazing staff. All we’re kind, welcoming and helpful. In particular, the younger gentleman working the ski rental facility was able to answer all of our questions and ensured we had what we needed for a great day on the slopes at Happo One. I would recommend this hotel to anyone.
