Hotel in Sado
Set in Sado, within 12 km of Ryōtsu-kō and 11 km of Sado Island, TABINO HOTEL Sado offers accommodation with a restaurant and free WiFi throughout the property as well as free private parking for... The hotel is very modern and is located in the Kanai area of Sado Island. The bus stops are very close to the hotel and it's roughly a 10 minute bus ride to Sawada. The rooms were decorated very nicely and the whole hotel was very clean. There was lots of hand sanitiser available and social distancing measures in place. We stayed in a twin bedroom (which they upgraded for us when we arrived!) and a double room with a kitchen. Both rooms were fantastic and had great air-conditioning. The hotel also has a public bath (we didn't try the public bath) and a restaurant. The restaurant meal we had was delightful and fairly priced. The staff were also very kind and helped us call a taxi. There is also a COOP opposite the hotel.

Sado is a beautiful quiet island with very welcoming people. It's a little bit difficult to get around, there's buses but they're infrequent so we did the sightseeing taxi to get to the sights further from us, and rented bikes for the closer spots. In Aikawa there's a cafe with a small cinema in a living room called Cafe Gashima which was so great, and the textile place next door sat us down for tea and snacks and had someone deliver figs when we stopped in. Seriously, the hospitality was so amazing! The only dark spot was when we tried to book classes at the Aikawa Traditional Skills Museum, we were told they wouldn't take foreigners despite all the brochures in English telling us about the classes
Food is awesome everywhere, from aikawa to the 3rd floor restaurant at ryotsu port pier. Make sure you have an international license and rent a car to get around. All you can eat echigo hime is great if you go during strawberry season !
The sunset on the beach was very beautiful. Lots of temples to visit to learn where Nichiren was. Unfortunately we missed the season for Noh performances, if you like to see one I recommend to check the event calendar before planning a trip.
Surely need to stay several nights to take in all of Sado's attractions. Bus drivers don't speak English but still good to confirm your destination to make sure you get off at the right spot. Shops are generally not open late so buy food / dinner early.
Sado
Just a nice place to stay and explore the island. Very nice and friendly staff. Great Onsen to enjoy inside and outside pools with a view to the sea. Breakfast was great with fresh grilled fish on your table griller and a lot of small, different Japanese dishes, miso soup, rice. Great view to the ocean from the breakfast room. Vending machines with alcohol and not alcohol drinks. A supermarket (Lawson) is just 3 minutes away. There are also a souvenir shop inside the hotel, who offers also food and cold drinks.
My friends and I had a wonderful stay here. The staff was really helpful, the food was superb and the view was spectacular! We would love to go back to Sado just to stay at this wonderful hotel again :)
Sado
lovely hostel managed by young people in one of the Sadogashima towns. The staff was very friendly and tried to answer all our questions. There are lots of restaurants and little shops in the area.
I like the interior design of the hotel, especially the lobby in the second floor, which is a very nice place for reading and socializing. The outside view is wonderful too even in a cloudy day.
Sado
Everything else. Great onsen (for Ogi town), nice rooms in quiet area, nice lobby and washrooms. A little pricey but Sado Island is expensive. This place seems popular.
Sado
More than a guesthouse! It felt like a modern and trendy hotel. I was also surprised about its free toiletries such as the cleansing oil and spa gel skincare.
Sado
Lovely place! Beautiful rooms, all very clean and neat. The landlady is very friendly and helpful! Definitely a must-stay place on Sado Island!
