Staff were very helpful and friendly. Room was clean, spacious, and bright with a big window that looked right onto the ocean. Everything you need is provided including laundry racks if you prefer to hang dry (coin washer/dryers are available as well). Plenty of parking. Quiet location and well-maintained grounds. One of my favourite stays on this trip.

Route Inn Grantia Shiretoko -Shari Ekimae- is only a 1-minute walk from JR Shiretoko Shari Station. It features an outdoor hot-spring bath, massage services and modern rooms with free wired internet.

Very pretty on the outside, very pretty on the inside! Comfortable, cozy interior spaces, whether its the common area, a bunk or your very own studio. Everything was immaculate and the breakfast was delicious and filling.

The public/sharing shower room is very comfortable to bath. Well isolated and not feeling cold and shivering during shower. Very quiet sleeping enviroment.

Really out of our expectations. Starting from the services and greetings from staffs, to the entire activities offered. The most expectional was the food, it was buffet, but really michelin style buffet. Before our stay, we hesitated in adding dinner and breakfast to our package, but now we are grateful we did. The food isn’t just premade and placed on the counter for you to take, there was about 4-6 chefs up there and cook fresh plate to your orders. Each chef has a signature dish, so there was a great variety. Not to mention about, the interior and the book selection. Both me and my boyfriend were art major students, the selection of books really required great taste and an amount of knowledge in art. Especially there was a corner for all photographies done over the world in the same latitude as Shiretoko. Would book again.

Bungalow type would bring a unique experience to enjoy the nature while staying at somewhere during the travel. Staff members were really kind and considerate. There was a restaurant to enjoy the dinner at the hotel. For other nights, we had small food and enjoyed at the table in front of the bungalow.

The place is located in a farming land. It is very quiet and peaceful, which brings back my memory of the time I went to visit my grandparents in the rural area. Everything you need is there, very clean and tidy. Big space, more than enough for 4 of us. If we have a chance to visit the easten part of Hokkaido again, I will definitely want to stay here again.
