Takamatsu is a regional town on Shikoku Island in Japan. It is quite relaxed and has everything that you may look for in big cities. Shikoku Island is one of the main 4 Islands of Japan. It is good to reach by train, bus and even by airplane. It has an old history and boasts of many traditional handicrafts, regional specialties (such as udon noodles), etc. Always worth a visit - even if it is in the rainy season.Guest review byGalinski - 8.0

One highlight was tasking the ferry to Ogre Island and...
One highlight was tasking the ferry to Ogre Island and hiring elctric bikes. A wonderful day. We also enjoyed looking at the work being done at the shipyards, and enjoyed visiting the Shikoku village. Karaoke at a tradtional bar was also fun one evening, and we enjoyed a whole variety of Japanese food. One slight problem was that one of our group is vegetarian, so sometimes it took a while to find a restaurant that sukited us all.Guest review byDomney - 8.0

Great place to unwind from the hustle and bustle of major cities in Japan, also a perfect jumping-off point for exploring islands in the Seto Inland Sea. It’s a bit sleepy and not tourist oriented, but that’s part of the charm. Plus, some of the best udon i’ve ever had.Guest review byCalAustralia

We got to meet two of the cats Milk and Clover who came to chill with us in our room. The house has a lot of charm and personality, and is cared for with love and attention. It was really clean too. The house is next to train tracks so you will hear the trains and signal for passing trains, but that did not bother us. There are two train stations within walking distance (10-15 min walks), so coming from Takamatsu station should not be an issue. Would stay again for sure.Guest review byTNNetherlands
