This is a great place to stay if you’re transiting Chitose or want to stay in the area. While it may seem a little bit far from the airport —in fact not far at all just take a taxi about 20 minutes.
The rustic log cabins are quaint and the restaurant is excellent. The restaurant staff is fantastic and we’re very helpful with keeping the restaurant open for arrival. The setting is really beautiful in the winter.

Lake Utonai is worth a quick stop in any season.
Lake Utonai is worth a quick stop in any season. I enjoyed meals at Amiga-Amigas and Toncini’s; both nice Italian restaurants. Upopoy Ainu Museum is excellent. Tomakomai is not a major tourist spot but it is a pleasant place to spend a day or two.Jerry - 8.0Scored 8.0
Tomakomai is just an industrial city but we were surprised...
Tomakomai is just an industrial city but we were surprised to realize how well it is located .It was very comfortable to visit few very beautiful places as noboribetsu,lake shikotsu,mount tarumae and cape chikyu. They have also few restaurants in town and there is no need to have your meals in the hotel like other places in Hokkaido.

If you take a bus, it's ¥630 If you take the train, it's $1500 Train takes about 30 mins. Bus just take an additional 30 mins, which is why i took the bus. For bus, it stops right at the airport For the price, u get a small room to yourself. I like this!!!
