The dinner every night was very varied and of good quality, including fresh (and raw) fish. Great bar service and all around very friendly and helpful staff both at breakfast and at dinner, as well as the housekeepers. Would 10/10 recommend.

KenyaThere are few properties I've considered giving such a high rating as Q boutique to be honest and they deserve it! It's a fairly new property but they've really considered so many aspects of their experience.
The staff are very thoughtful and helpful and warm. The rooms/villas are quaint and cozy while still meeting professional standards of hospitality. The breakfasts had a good variety of dishes and even a few things we asked for on request like lemon tea. The dinner was a hearty serving of very fluffy mashed potatoes, steamed veggies and the tastiest fish!
I really like their swimming pool, it was always clean and especially by afternoon the water's a great temperature.
We ended up staying an extra night than what was planned at Q boutique because we had such a good experience. I'd definitely go back here and it would be my luxury place of choice for Malindi.

United StatesCasaurina Lounge exceeded my expectations on most points. Staff is very nice and made us feel welcomed and confortable. Fred the room cleaner/and seems to do that and much more is very creative and detailed in all that he oversee's and exceeds in doing his best to make you feel glad that you stayed here. Lidia the manager, Helen and their chef are all equally wonderful. Lidia showed me how to make Kachumbari and the Chef made the best Beef Pilau we've ever had. Thank you for sharing! Helen is always friendly with a bright smile to greet you. Location is off the main road and is manageable without a car and even better with. As an American visitor I would say this is a outstanding value without sacrifice. They will take care of your needs and appreciate you and your stay with them, making it stress free and pleasant! ✴️✴️✴️✴️✴️ Asante Sana! 💖

United StatesThe property is located on the beach. Rooms are very spacious and each lot of 5 rooms shares a fantastic swimming pool, a dinning room areas and a sitting area. Its absolutely beautiful ! Personnel is very helpful and extremely nice. The food was excellent to say the least. Juices of natural fruits from the region, great coffee, cereals, eggs, etc. The restaurant is open all day which is very convenient. Room service is served in the dinning table right outside the room. The table is perfectly set and the personal is ready for whatever you need. The Spa is very nice and the person in charge gives fabulous massages. All in all this hotel is a great place to stay when in Malindi for either pleasure or business.

KenyaWe had the best time at Diamonds! We stayed in the deluxe suite with private pool, and it was so beautiful. Even though we enjoyed having the private pool, the facilities were so nice that you could definitely have an amazing stay without it. There were three large pools, in addition to the chargeable spa pool. Two of those three large pools had shallow areas that were safe for little children. Our 2 year old couldn't get enough of the swimming pools and didn't use a flotation device at all. The beach access is also right there, with nice sunbeds on a private beach far enough away from the beach boys. They even lent our 2 year old some toys to play in the sand with. The property is large, but everything is still easily accessible without a long walk. That was important to me at 8 months pregnant!

The customer service in Malindi is questionable, some restaurants even packing sub food as your take away. Also, the locals especially tour guides try to rip you off compared to other coastal towns, its quite annoying. Cool laid back town. Action is on the beach. Local foods like fish, calamari, prawns easily gotten-mostly in the evening. Its a 'crime' not to use a motor bike(boda boda) to tour the town on foot! Annoying whistles and hoots from the riders- just avoid eye contact! Malindi town is easy to walk around. Coffee lovers have a huge choice- kahawa tungu( peppered with cinnamon&ginger powder)- on the bench at every turn of road -or- in Italian themed coffee joints by the beach and main streets. Easy town to move around. Not that many pedestrian walkways. From my last visit(2023) there is an upgrade though. Need for more coffee places. The beach areas could be more cleaner. For coffee and lovely delicious snacks,go to Malaika restaurant opposite the Buntwani Beach Front. Walking is the healthiest way to move around Malindi,just don't give a visual contact with the boda boda taxis( you will ride unwillingly!) I visited the following places: Galana Shopping Centre Vasco da Gama Pillar Portuguese Chapel Malindi Marine National Park. I occasionally ate out from a wide range of restaurants in the city centre.
