Alakol-Jyrgalan Guest House features free WiFi and views of mountain in Dzhergalan. The accommodation offers ski-to-door access and ski storage space, as well as a bar and a shared lounge. This IS The Best Place I, stayed during my time in Kirghizstan! The hosts are so nice, the atmosphere so friendly. The food is also the Best I had at a guesthouse. Very tasty, fresh, creative and big portions. The room was warm, bed cosy and a proper bathroom with hot water. The view is stunning. I wish I could have stayed longer
Syimyk Guest House is situated in Dzhergalan. The accommodation offers ski storage space, as well as a shared lounge and a garden. Incredibly nice, sweet and helpful host. The food was really delicious. We enjoyed our stay here very much and would come back any time!
Jyrgalan Yurt Lodge is located in Dzhergalan and features ski-to-door access. The property provides free private parking and free WiFi. Guest rooms at the hostel are equipped with a seating area. Beautiful location. Mountains and hiking routes starts near your Yurt. Excelent hospitality. We felt welcome there. Good food for reasonable prices, cooked especially for you on your selected time. Sauna on site. Dont be afraid from previous bad reviews about WC and shower - before season 2022 they have built brand new shower/WC building with excelent amenities - clean, warm (inculding heated floor) and even with music, better than in lot of places in Europe. Thank you guys one more time for your hospitality and greetings for your neighbor Alexandr.
Baitor Guesthouse is located in Dzhergalan and features a shared lounge. Food was one of the best we had in Kyrgyzstan: vegetables, different dishes all three days, and just tastefully done. Hostess was wonderful. Eager to attempt to speak English with us. Her daughter was impressively speaking English with us effortlessly, and taught us some Kyrgyz games. We had a great time here. Very comfortable after a three day hike through the mountains. Definitely recommended.
Darya features accommodation in Dzhergalan. The hostel has ski storage space. At the hostel rooms include a desk and a shared bathroom. More like a holiday house than a hostel - but with breakfast service! You could stay here with a bigger family or group of friends, but when I was here there was only one other guest - so each of us had their own room. Kitchen with everything you need, and there are some small shops nearby - but don't expect a wide variety of things there and better bring your own food. Or even better: visit the Peak Lodge (20 min walking) of the same company and eat in their restaurant - delicious food and stylish atmosphere. The staff is amazing - both at Darya and at Peak Lodge. They organize tours + trips (I did a horse trek, but you can hike on your own as well) and treat you more like a friend than a customer. I enjoyed my time at Darya + Peak very much and will definitely come back - perhaps next time in winter...
Jyrgalan is a small village in the middle of beautiful mountains with great guest houses and thus good touristic infrastructure. I have been there in winter for skitouring which is perfectly possible starting in the village. You do not need a car or other transportation while you are there...
Although the village itself is not spectacular, it is a great place to stay if you fancy mountain hiking, trekking, horse riding (beginners welcomed), local food and friendly atmosphere. The owners are movers and shakers of community based tourism, developing nature friendly business and providing job to most of the villlage inhabitants. Conditions are surprisingly good, with hot water, wifi (if one cannot survive without) and plentiful choice of attractions.
Great place with a lot of hiking trails, alpine lakes, waterfalls and mountain rivers. You can choose to explore the location with a bike, horses or your own feet. The area is also well known for the great back country skiing conditions during the winters.
A tranquil village with ideal access to a variety of slopes and aspects for ski touring. The town is small and has limited shops and no WiFi, though cell coverage is good. The scenery is outstanding and the people are friendly.
