This place isn't for those who like the pace of Seoul. It's a very quiet area with beautiful natural surroundings. We came to see an island we had seen on a Korean variety show, so we knew what we were going in to. However, the next time we come to Korea we want to stay a few more days. The nature is luxurious and the landscapes are incredible.
The nature is luxurious and the landscapes are incredible. I only had foggy weather during my stay but it only added a very mysterious special vibe. It's a nice place for a short trip on foot. There is not a lot of public transport (at least where I was, in Wahyeon) but thanks to the scenic paths on the coast and in the mountains, you can visit the nearest attractions without a car. The south-east coast seemed like a very quiet and peaceful place to me, with some great touristic spots. As my Korean host told me, you should definitely visit the small island Oeda Botania if you are near!Guest review byMaëlysBelgium
