United StatesClean, nice bedding, comfortable mattress, air dresser is a def plus and simple complimentary breakfast was good enough for our group. Big TV with Netflix access, AC worked well too. The property isn’t big nor like a big fancy chain hotel but the amenities were great for its price. Staff was friendly as well. Good location too.

United StatesFantastic hotel in a great location on a hilltop overlooking the waterfront. The cherry blossoms were in full bloom for our stay and the gardens were just starting to flower.
Our junior suite had two balconies and expansive windows. A separate bedroom with a table and chairs, and a living room with a large sitting area. We appreciated the pulldown screens on the balcony doors so we could keep the cool air coming in!

Mokpo and the area is amazing. Lots of things to see and do. It is an area for driving as things are spread out, but lots to do and see in town with some great restaurants.
Museums are good and touring the islands is a must do!
Mokpo is a growing area that has much to offer. It isn't Seoul, but it is on one of the most picturesque regions of Korea.
Take a day to travel the islands to the West, then another day South, then explore the mountains to the East.
High-end hotels are in short supply in the area, but there a lot of good hotel options.

I really enjoyed the cable car ride and the Skywalk.
I really enjoyed the cable car ride and the Skywalk. The opportunity to see the surrounding islands using public transportation. I once stayed overnight in Mokpo and wanted to go back for a few days; it was worth it! And the added bonus was that I got to see a location from a drama I knew from a drama.

I want to go again..
I want to go again.. Mokpo, the city of taste, I have to eat all 9 flavors of Mokpo........ I ate Heuksando fermented skate, raw skate, raw mackerel, crab meat bibimbap, minnow course, sweet and sour chicken, seonji haejangguk, shrimp baguette, mugwort cod, and jungkkan. It was all delicious..... I don't have to go to that place that is famous for crab meat bibimbap. I don't want to wait. I want to come back to eat again. Next time I come, I will eat sea bass liver soup, octopus tripe, braised hairtail, flatfish sashimi, and monkfish stew.

I highly recommend the Mokpo Marine Cable Car.
I highly recommend the Mokpo Marine Cable Car. I took a day trip from the Mokpo Passenger Ferry Terminal to Hongdo Island. If you have the time, I recommend taking the first ferry to Hongdo Island and returning on the afternoon ferry. Overall, the food is mostly delicious, and Mokpo is a wonderful place where you can experience history, culture, and romance. If the weather is nice, I highly recommend a walking tour of the old city center.

This was a trip to Daegijeomdo (Sogijeomdo, Soakdo) off the coast of Sinan, the 12 Apostles Pilgrimage Route, Purple Island, Wando, and Cheongsando. After visiting Daegijeomdo, I chose Mokpo as my accommodation. In Mokpo, I only took the sea cable car and looked around downtown Mokpo, so that was all for my trip to Mokpo... Next time, I'm thinking of traveling only to Mokpo, including Yudalsan Mountain and the fish market, and I'm planning to choose the Shangri-La Beach Hotel for my accommodation. Although the atmosphere around Mokpo was sluggish due to Corona, the area around Shangri-La Hotel was still lively compared to other areas, and it was a satisfactory accommodation with an abundance of food.
