The staff at Little Hostel was so helpful about offering tips and advice about traveling to and away from Huay Xai. They even helped me book all the tickets needed to cross the border from Laos to Thailand. Another bonus is that the bed was really comfortable and sturdy. Even though I was on the top bunk, I did not worry about bothering the person in the lower bunk when I climbed the ladder or moved because the bed frame was solid.

Great hostel and value for money! We had a private room which was very clean, and the bed was super comfortable. The rooftop is a great place for sunset over the river as well. The staff was great and super helpful. The staff can book your slow boat and it’s a great deal, it’s only about $2(Canadian) more than buying the ticket yourself at the dock and they arrange a tuktuk to pick you up and get you there early enough to snag a good seat.
