I love Luang Prabang the most in Laos, slow pace, sight seeings and night markets with many things to buy. If you want to buy souvenirs, just buy in Luang Prabang , because you wouldn’t find much in Vang Vieng and Vientiane. Also , the exchange rate is good in Luang Prabang. However, don’t change too much at first, because you can’t change it back to your foreign currency when you’re in airport. Laos bank has a policy that they cannot sell foreign currency. So plan your money ahead and enjoy the trip !

Luang Prabang is still beautiful. But the tourists now also come by jet planes and a high-speed train. The night market now has a mega-sized outdoor food square. The quietest and most beautiful part of LPB is where the two rivers meet.

The best way to get around the city is by bike. The night market is boring (products are highly homogenous) for me but the foods there are great! Please be aware that many local restaurants take a day off on Monday. Laos sandwiches are amazing!!! For me personally the Laos papaya salad is better than the Thai papaya salad.

Luang Prabang is a city with of thousands temples that you can choose from. the activity that you can do really a lot, from Temple Hopping, Watching the sunset on the hill while overlooking the city, or just having a sunset slow boat ride along Mekong River, it is up to you! if you like wilderness, you may try to explore Kuangsi Waterfall and Pak Ou Watercaves.

Great room overlooking lily pond. Good breakfast over looking pond (we fed the fish with our toast!), honey and chocolate spread also provided which most hotels we stayed at didn't offer. Nice small swimming pool. Staff spoke good English and helped organise trip to waterfall. The staff were delightful and we got welcome drink and fruits on arrival, as well as afternoon drink if at hotel. They also provided a map of Luang Prabang and gave information of places to visit and nearest supermarket.

The rooms are clean and really nice. However the most important reason why I would recommend this hotel to anyone is due to the staff. They were the kindest people we met. They arranged everything for us. We had the scooter at the hotel in the morning when we needed it and they advised the best programs and must see sights in Lunag Prabang. If your in Luang Prabang you should definetely stay there!
