Great location. The restaurant had good options and was a very nice place to sit, relax and people watch. The waitress and the man at the reception were very very kind and helpful. The breakfast included with the room was great.

Great stay and amazing advice available for the Thakhek loop. The dorms and bathrooms are very clean and the beds are some of the comfiest I've slept in whilst traveling Asia. Highly recommend Naga Hostel to anyone visiting

    It's worth staying for a day and a night just to see the...

    It's worth staying for a day and a night just to see the historic area with the French colonial buildings. The place was pretty empty when we were there and some restaurants were closed so it's not really that happening during the rainy season. Managed to get two nice sunsets which was a bonus because it was raining for much of the time we were there and we had zero expectations of seeing a sunset on the Mekong whilst in Thakhek. Food was average (but we didn't go to the expensive places).

    It's a great view of city and village life.

    It's a great view of city and village life. You do the loop and that some what sums up your trip. I did hit the Mountain you take a boat under and I took the "Back road" by mistake and ended up driving 58km though Laos villages Seriously the best part of the trip. I got to see a side of Laos 99% Of tourist never will so def. something worth seeing if you find that back road, its not hard to see if you do the loop backwards from what hotels advise you. the caves are great, Dragon cave is a SERIOUS hike, the first few caves just east of the town are barely 5 minute visits and are used for praying not so. much tourism.

    Good hostel. The rooms are simple but have everything you need for a night before starting the Thakhek Loop. They let you leave your bag in the shed while you're on the loop, which is really helpful, and they also arranged my night bus to Pakse, which I appreciated. There are a few too many rules posted around - like getting a free shower after the loop if you book the bus through them, but still having to pay 10,000 kip (nothing really) for a towel. It all felt a bit over-managed. But overall, still recommended.

    Great hostel to start the thakhek loop from! Mr Noy was very helpful with renting the bike and giving me a map of the route with lots of details for great stops! He also helped me to book a bus ticket to Pakse and offered drop off at bus station and shower after the loop. Great stay, ຂອບ​ໃຈ Mr Noy!
