United StatesThe staff make this property special! They are very attentive & care for you well! The accommodations are clean & comfortable. Favorite is the outdoor shower surrounded by rich foliage & lots of hummingbirds. It is a quiet resort with only 6 rooms with a lovely view from the infinity pool, swim up bar & the sea view villas. A car is helpful as it’s a drive to a beach. Hiring a driver is possible but becomes expensive if you desire to go to beaches, restaurants or sights. The outdoor restaurant, onsite serves delicious food. It’s perfect if you’re looking for some rest & relaxation!

The property has taxi drivers they are friends with and they will take you everywhere and spend the day with you! Within 10 minutes from all major tourist attractions you can see/do several in one day.
The view is spectacular, but the true value of this property is that allows you to be part of the St Lucian culture!
Don’t expect anything fancy, view this place as a place to sleep and see the sunset. Other than that, you should be enjoying Soufriere and the rest of the island!

Arriving in the middle of Soufriere was a bit overwhelming for a moment, the deep ditches on the sides of the streets, the small alley between the houses … but as soon as we opened the door we knew we made the right choice. It was neat, spacious, perfect shower, kitchenette— all we needed for our almost three-week stay. Soufriere is right in the heart of everything the makes st. Lucia unique, the pitons and the volcano, with all of its views, hikes, mineral baths, waterfalls, snorkeling sites and the best beaches of all (according to us Anse Chastenet and Anse Mamin). We also stayed up north to visit pigeon island and the Friday night street party at gros islet, but we think nothing compares to being in Soufriere.

The whole area looks like paradise.
The whole area looks like paradise. The people are nice and friendly, lots of restaurants and things to do. Roads are a little narrow and there are potholes and access to some of the beaches is through bad roads therefore definetly recommend an SUV to just not care about this aspect.

Soufrierre was a highlight during our week of independent travel in st. Lucia. So many nearby attractions , yet its a quaint small town. We actually walked to the diamond mine botanical gardens and thermal baths. A variety of restaurants (Fedo’s has a wonderful veg plate) are walkable but there is also a supermarket and local market for self catering. The easily assessable lovely public beach is clean and has clear water perfect for a refreshing dip. Sitting there in the evening with the petite piton as the view is a memorable image.

It is very close to some many highlights of the island in extremely attactive surroundings.
Full of very friendly people.

Soufriere was great.
Soufriere was great. Often closed early or all day with the Independence Day celebrations. Parking made it difficult to explore Soufriere. Wish better parking option in town. People in town were the nicest and always so kind!!!

Excellent area to stay in for a St Lucia vacation because of...
Excellent area to stay in for a St Lucia vacation because of proximity to many of the great places to visit on the island, most of which are south of town. We rented a house just outside of Soufrière which avoided the late-night town noise that we read can be an issue with some in-town locations. We found lots of great restaurants in the area and especially enjoyed the local dishes which came with several tasty sides.
Nearby places visited in order (all good): Day 1. Toraille Waterfall, New Jerusalem Mineral Baths, Grand Eden Estate (booked tour); 2. Soufrière DriveIn Volcano ($15 combo ticket bought there: mineral/mud baths + tour + access to Sulphur Springs Park Interpretation Centre), Fond Doux Eco Resort. (45-min “A Taste of Fond Doux Private Walking Tour” booked through TripAdvisor), Têt Paul Nature Trail, Malgretoute Beach, Piton Falls + mineral baths; 3. Diamond Falls Botanical Gardens, Anse Mamin Beach. Other 4 days we went elsewhere on St Lucia.
Nearby Restaurants we had dinner at (all good; most selected for view to enjoy while eating): Dream Restaurant, La Belvedere, Mango Tree*, Seashell Beach Restaurant, The View*, and Treetop*. *reservation recommended/needed.
USD cash and credit cards accepted everywhere. No need to exchange money. Recommend bringing lots of small bills for tips and to be able to pay exact amount for fees to avoid getting change in XCD.
Best to rent car. 4WD needed. Main roads in St Lucia are fairly good (being re-surfaced early in 2025) albeit narrow with many switchbacks, those leading to beaches and other places worth visiting are very narrow and rough with lots of potholes. Drive on left in St Lucia.

There is not much to do in Soufriere without independent...
There is not much to do in Soufriere without independent transport. The waterfall and pool are worth visiting (pack your bathing suit!), a short walk from the property. I took a bus to Canaries, a very quiet small fishing village in the next bay. Interesting but not much else.
Of course, great for those who intend climbing the Pitons.

The property has amazing views of Soufriere and the Pitons and the infinity pool was great. The staff were great too, very welcoming and helpful, we had a big room with a balcony and the bed was lovely and comfortable, the room was clean and had everything we needed for a quick one night lay over. The restaurant was good with a decent menu, food was very nice.

Soufriere is an excellent place to stay, close to many of the attractions of the island. It is not a very touristy town but if, like us, you enjoy mixing with local people and don’t want to be in a £500 a night gated resort full of white Europeans and Americans, it’s excellent.
St Lucia is beautiful and with visiting for the landscape alone.

The hotel is up a steep hill from the town but this gives incredible views of the Pitons. The room was a good size, had a fridge, glasses, plates and cutlery for basic self catering (no cooking facilities). The staff were welcoming and friendly and couldn't do enough to ensure we had everything we needed or book taxis.

Lovely place to stay in Soufrière - beautiful view from the balcony too and a short walk to town. Would recommend the hotel arranged transfer from the airport as it was reasonable and also the driver planned a stop in a supermarket en route for us to buy groceries for our stay.
