I spent a night at Villa Rumassala, and it was a truly transformative experience. From the moment I arrived, I felt how much care and intention goes into creating a space that allows deep rest. The atmosphere is calm, grounding, and thoughtfully designed, with incredible attention to detail that supports relaxation on every level. The staff are simply amazing — always smiling, kind, and genuinely thoughtful. You can feel that they put their hearts into everything they do, every single day. The food is absolutely delicious, fresh, and nourishing, I felt completely comfortable and cared for from the moment I arrived. A huge thank you to everyone who made this experience so special. What a lovely place. One of the nicest rooms we had on our trip through Sri Lanka. Very spacious, spotlessly clean with a huge bathroom. We loved staying there. Wonderful hotel with amazing hosts who always had a smile on their faces. Everything was very clean and super cozy, we truly felt at home. I could truly feel the love for detail in the interior design. There were plenty of shelves and storage spaces, cute paintings on the walls, and the colors matched beautifully. It was really decorated with so much care and love! A special highlight was the spacious room and the constant hot water with great water pressure - even on the 4th floor! The location is nice: close to the center yet in a quiet area (little uphill). The hosts also kindly helped us arrange a scooter rental. We would definitely come back!

A very personal family driven small hotel with high service and care for the guests, both the owners and the manager Seneth. The breakfast was excellent with a various off dishes and the room large and well designed. The bathroom contains a Jacuzzi. The distance to Unawatuna beach is a 20 min walk and the Jungle beach can be reached with a Tuk Tuk within 15 min.
