Hidden Gem alert ⚠️ this place is magical. The location is breathtaking and also the the owner and staff. Very friendly and taking care about the guests. I didn't expect this kind of place before I come here. But this place exceeded our expectations. Specially authentic food was very delicious. And the owners, Nelumi and her Husband also very friendly. Chithra's food is amazing and Manoja's service remind us home. Surely I'll be back. Highly recommended place

This Ayurveda retreat is a gem , we liked the treatments that are done under supervision from specialized doctors, the authentic healthy food, the staff , and the Yoga . And the acupuncture treatments as well. we went there with chronic pains and left with much better state of body and mind . The flora and the fauna that surrounds the villa had us enthralled from the time we stepped foot there. As avid birders, my husband and I thoroughly enjoyed sighting some amazing birds just within the premises of the villa. We took advantage of a sunny day and went for a day trip to Bentota beach. The Villa staff arranged a lovely driver in a comfortable car for us to visit famed Sri Lankan architect Geoffrey Bawa's gorgeous home "Brief" which is a short drive from the villa, on our way to Bentota. They also took us to a sea turtle rehabilitation sanctuary close to the beach. Not tourist traps but proper sanctuaries that ethically care for and return the turtles to the ocean. I am grateful to the villa staff for curating such a nice excursion for us on such short notice. Last but not least we extended our stay from a night to 3 nights because we were too comfortable at the villa to leave and were enjoying the pool so much. The rooms were very well maintained and the housekeeping was very satisfactory for a clean freak like me. Tell the manager what you would like to eat and I hands down recommend trying the Sri Lankan food they serve here. We had all our meals here as it was that good. The neighbourhood is so peaceful and full of opportunities to walk and explore. No ATMs close by so make sure when you do go on an excursion to get some cash from near the local petrol station ATM. The two local shops stock up on almost everything you will need.

The place and the staff were amazing. Among the food they served, the french fries were top notch. It was simple and spicy. The tea was great too. I ordered their best recommended prawns dish which was also amazing. The place was like a little village of its own. I loved the stay. The staff was extraordinary.

I recently stayed at this villa, and it was a truly relaxing experience. The location is beautiful, with paddy fields all around and stunning mountain views. Waking up to the sound of birds in the morning was a highlight, and the sunsets in the evening were amazing. The staff were very friendly and always ready to help, which made the stay even better. This was one of the best nature accommodation experiences that I've ever had. We were able to completely disconnect and bathe in nature for two days. I never write reviews but honestly felt compelled to do so for this property. I kind of am scared that somehow many people will find out about it and it will lose it's beautiful appeal by becoming overcrowded! But for anyone thinking about having an adventure and venturing deep into the jungle in Sri Lanka spending a night surrounded by the elements in an amazing luxury setup with absolutely wonderful staff and an exceptional cook then look no other way. Thank you for allowing us to have such an amazing experience. It had been years since we were able to slow down and do just nothing. And us spending our day idly was the best part of this stay. Reading, writing, hiking, trekking, swimming in a natural pool, listening to the rain and the river water flowing, watching fireflies, staring at the shadows of trees on the ceiling, we felt that we were children again! We'll definitely be coming back. A big thank you to Chandana and Dissanayake for their great hospitality and absolutely AMAZING food. And of course a big thank you to the owner of the property that was extremely helpful making sure we are comfortable and very well taken care of during our stay. Please keep the property the gem that it is, sustainably nestled inside the jungle co-existing with Sinharaja in such a beautiful way! Thanks for providing us with such a great opportunity to reconnect with nature.
