The owner of the property is very kind & helpful. The service was excellent throughout our stay. Breakfast was traditional Sri Lankan and it was delicious. They have owned tuk tuk service (golden tuk tuk) with a well-known guide.
Highly recommend it to anyone visiting the area.

Greeted with a plate of fresh star fruit from the tree in the garden, and made to feel at home. Large comfortable room with a garden view.
Breakfast was probably the best since arriving in Sri Lanka. And we were offered free lifts to and from all the local attractions and into town.

My experience at Hotel Golden Ray was absolutely wonderful from start to finish. The staff were extremely friendly, welcoming, and always ready to help with a smile. The rooms were clean, comfortable, and well-maintained, providing a perfect space to relax after exploring Dambulla.
The hotel’s atmosphere is peaceful and charming, with a great balance between modern comfort and natural surroundings. The food was delicious and freshly prepared, and I truly appreciated the attention to detail in every aspect of the service.

We chose not to climb Sigiriya (having just recovered from Adam's Peak!) but instead chose the much shorter Pidurangala which afforded a fabulous view of Sigiriya. Highly recommended. A visit to the Bawa hotel, Heritance Kandalama, is well worth it as an insight into the brilliant architectural mind of Geoffrey Bawa.

Dambulla is an excellent base for exploring Kandy, Anuradhapura, Polonnaruwa and Sigiriya. We stayed there for 4 Nights and could cover the heritage sites easily. Dambulla Caves are a must-see and so is Sigiriya (just 16 Kms. away). Anuradhapura and Polonnaruwa are around an hours drive but Dambulla is much well-connected and less touristy.

I loved everything they have amazing vibe, nothing was to much trouble . All staff kind and helpful. Dambulla is quiet but has local shops, cafes Pizza Hut, great small restaurant a few miles from Evergreen serving very good food. It's run by the people who run Evergreen. So recommended by me.. Anything you want to do or go and see will be arranged for you Tuk Tuk guy is a staff member . If you need car/driver it will be arranged.

Lovely family run hotel in beautiful peaceful setting but still a short walk to town. Host was very kind. Drove us to Royal Caves nearby and organised a tuk tuk to sigirya. Room was spacious. Beds very comfortable. Lovely outdoor area with tables for breakfast and relaxing. Breakfast was very good. Big plate of fresh fruit plus bread and a Sri Lankan favourite- a kind of coconut and honey pasty. Wifi great. Great value for money.

Nice stay at Sun&Green with Gayani.
The place needs a little improvements and refreshments but we had a nice time with the swimming pool, settled into a lovely evergreen and flowery garden.
Big shady terrace to enjoy.
We didn't know at the time but Gayani offers tasty sri lankan food if you ask her.
Good location if you want to visit Dambulla, Sigiriya and around. (main road but outside center town)

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Great location in Dambulla and an easy commute to Sigiriya via tuk tuk. Host was incredibly helpful, insightful and friendly. Organised our transfer to the hotel from Colombo. Great breakfast to begin the day. Great value for money.

The please is really nice! its very close to Dambulla - Colombo road, but once you turn to the hotel road it feels like you are entered to a jungle and from there on wards you will feel real tropical life feeling through out the stay.

Lovely hotel ideally located if you want to visit de Dambulla caves, as you can walk there if you wanted to. Alternatively, the hotel offers complementary transportation to the caves. Staff is very attentive
